Nice to meet you. I have been a therapist for over 23 years. I work with clients to resolve issues and concerns which may be a problem in their life. I view therapy as a partnership between me and the client where we want the best outcomes.
Before becoming a counselor, I worked as a deputy sheriff, firefighter, EMT, 911 dispatcher, and U.S. Navy Reserve member. That background shapes how I show up in sessions: direct, practical, and without judgment. I pursued counseling because I found I was genuinely good at helping people feel better, and I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, grief, and difficult life decisions. If you have been waiting to talk to someone, I am glad you are here.
I'm Najwah — a therapist and life coach with 12 years in social services walking alongside people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the kind of life changes that feel like the ground just shifted beneath them. I serve adults, teens, and seniors, single parents, and those who are carrying cultural or generational weight that most therapists don't fully understand. I lead with warmth, I'll be honest with you, and I'll never make you feel judged for where you are. I accept Aetna, BCBS, Carelon, and Cigna EAP, and offer a sliding scale for those who need it.
I have been counseling people of all ages for 43 years. I begin with listening to your story. I not only want to hear it; I want to understand it as well. Sometimes, this mutual understanding alone is all that a client needs. During the intake process, I will ask you detailed questions to further understanding of your situation and issues you are dealing with right now. Next, we will work together to form a plan of action which will guide our sessions together, which typically last 45 – 50 minutes. This plan of action will focus on helping you, the client, work towards solving problems and issues that you present. Did I mention that takes work? Achieving understanding of issues and taking appropriate actions towards wellness both take time, concentration and energy.
I am intuitive and open minded. I believe it is important for the client to be safe and comfortable to share the good and the bad. If you feel an approach is not working feel free to be honest about this in session so we can discuss options to get past stuck points.

Welcome—I’m glad you’re here. Choosing to seek support is an act of courage, and your future self will thank you for showing yourself kindness today. My name is Renee. I graduated from University of Southern California School of Social Work in 2014. I specialize in working with individuals carrying the weight of significant trauma, addictions, unresolved grief, and painful life experiences that can feel isolating or overwhelming. I support those who struggle with trust after unhealthy relationships, major life transitions, or who have turned to alcohol or other substances to cope with emotional pain.
I also work with individuals healing from addiction, substance use, and mental health challenges, and I have experience supporting military families as they navigate the unique barriers of having a loved one in the military, as well as serving Veterans. My goal is to offer a supportive space for healing, connection, and meaningful change.
