I have been counseling people of all ages for 43 years. I begin with listening to your story. I not only want to hear it; I want to understand it as well. Sometimes, this mutual understanding alone is all that a client needs. During the intake process, I will ask you detailed questions to further understanding of your situation and issues you are dealing with right now. Next, we will work together to form a plan of action which will guide our sessions together, which typically last 45 – 50 minutes. This plan of action will focus on helping you, the client, work towards solving problems and issues that you present. Did I mention that takes work? Achieving understanding of issues and taking appropriate actions towards wellness both take time, concentration and energy.
Hi! I'm Shoshana, and I work with kids, teens young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, ADHD, and the pressure of figuring out who they are. I believe therapy is a space to slow down, get honest with yourself, and find your footing. Whether you're overwhelmed by school, work, or relationships, I'm here to help you build a life that feels genuinely yours.
My work is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and relational. I begin with “What happened and how did your nervous system learn to survive it?” Emotional neglect is painful precisely because it is invisible. I create a space where your inner experience is met with steadiness, clarity, and care. Healing attachment wounds requires presence that stays.
I work with clients to help them achieve the goals they have established for themselves. Everyone goes through rough times and sometimes we need some extra support from an outside entity to help us get through those times!
I look forward to working with adults who want to make positive changes in their lives. My professional background includes working for many years in a large hospital Emergency Department as well as in private psych clinic practice. With my medical and psych training as a Registered Nurse as well as Social Worker I am able to focus on the total person. Some specific treatment areas that I have experience in are trauma, gay/Lesbian/Bisexual, depression and First Responders crisis issues as well as grief/death situations.
I am passionate about empowering people to change their lives for the better. I strive to build a genuine and empathic relationship, free of judgment with clients, while working as a team to achieve your goals. I work to empower you on your journey while increasing self-awareness
I'm Najwah — a therapist and life coach with 12 years in social services walking alongside people navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and the kind of life changes that feel like the ground just shifted beneath them. I serve adults, teens, and seniors, single parents, and those who are carrying cultural or generational weight that most therapists don't fully understand. I lead with warmth, I'll be honest with you, and I'll never make you feel judged for where you are. I accept Aetna, BCBS, Carelon, and Cigna EAP, and offer a sliding scale for those who need it.
