As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), I am passionate about helping people move beyond simply surviving and begin thriving! I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, supported, challenged, empowered to create meaningful change in your life, and did I say feel seen?! :-)
I bring knowledge and experience from over three decades in both public mental health settings and private practice and over twenty years teaching psychology and human development. I'm here to support you on your journey to well-being and look forward to working together. I have special sensitivity for neurodivergence, including issues unique to 2E.

I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in Alabama with experience collaborating with people of all ages to identify values, strengths, and needs, and to help empower them to live their best lives, whatever that looks like for them. I love working with people from all walks of life, and I specialize in LGBTQ+ health, life after trauma, and those living with low income, disability, and other barriers.
Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with families, children, and adults, providing support and guidance in various areas. My areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, and stress management. I am committed to helping individuals navigate life's challenges, fostering positive change, and empowering my clients towards improved mental well-being.
I combine my real-world experience with specialized training in self-compassion and grief. I am Certified in Self Compassion in Psychotherapy and a Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, trained by the Center for Mindful Self Compassion. I am a certified Grief Educator trained by David Kessler. Whether I am working with clients navigating life transitions or partnering with UA to support elite athletes, my goal is to help you meet your challenges with more kindness and resilience.
My path to becoming a therapist wasn't exactly traditional yet shapes how I connect with people. After earning my psychology degree from Johns Hopkins, I spent twenty years in the fashion industry focusing on leadership development and career mentoring. I then decided to return to my roots in psychology, earning my MSW from the University of Alabama to become an LICSW.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Doctorate in Social Work, and I bring both clinical expertise and real life understanding into the therapy space. My professional background includes years of direct clinical practice as well as leadership roles in complex, high stress systems, including serving as a Mental Health Director. These experiences have shaped my ability to support individuals who are navigating pressure, responsibility, and emotional overwhelm while still being expected to function at a high level.
I work best with clients who are strong on the outside but struggling internally. Many of the people I support are women, mothers, professionals, caregivers, and helpers who are used to showing up for others while neglecting their own emotional needs. I have a particular passion for working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome, burnout, life transitions, relationship stress, identity concerns, and trauma related to past or ongoing stressors.
Therapy with me is not about having all the answers. It is about learning how to trust yourself, set healthy boundaries, and show up for your life with more compassion and confidence.
Thank you for taking a moment to view my profile. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I serve the adult and geriatric population. I am a proud graduate of both the University of Georgia Graduate School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
