Welcome! I'm Cemetrice a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I belive that seeking help takes courage, and my goal is to create a safe, judgement-free space where you feel heard and supported from the very first visit. I earned my MSN from Northern Kentucky University, and I bring over six years of psychiatric experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. I currently hold inpatient privileges at three hospitals in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, which keeps me connected to full spectrum of mental health care. I work with patients ages 5 and up treating a range of concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and more. My approach combines careful medication management with genuine listening because you're more than diagnosis.
I’m a Doctor of Nursing Practice–trained Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a career shaped by service, compassion, and a genuine love for helping people feel seen, supported, and capable of healing. Before becoming a PMHNP, I spent many years as a CNA and later earned my BSN from the University of the Incarnate Word in 2015 in San Antonio, TX. I worked bedside at University Hospital, transitioned to hospice in 2016, and later served in case management at UTHSCSA. In 2023, I began my DNP–PMHNP program, completing it while working full time at Clarity Child Guidance Center. On December 13th, 2025, I was officially granted the title of “Dr.”, became board certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner on February 9th, 2026, and finally obtained my APRN with the Texas Board of Nursing on March 12th, 2026!
My doctoral project focused on reducing seclusion rates for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder using evidence‐based, trauma‐informed interventions—an area close to my heart as a parent of a special‐needs child. I’m passionate about geriatric psychiatry and child & adolescent psychiatry, and I bring a calm, grounded, and collaborative style to treatment.
I also briefly served in the United States Air Force, an experience that strengthened my commitment to resilience, service, and advocacy. Today, I continue to advocate for women affected by domestic violence, helping them reclaim safety, confidence, and possibility.
On a personal note, I’m a mom of two boys, happily married for 11 years, and the proud owner of four dogs. Outside of work, you’ll usually find me drinking coffee, shopping for plants, collecting perfumes, baking, cooking, or spending time with family and friends. These parts of my life help me stay balanced, grounded, and connected—values I bring into every therapeutic relationship.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner that is interested in providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health care services through psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. I come from a strong nursing background, with over 10 years of experience working with clients experiencing changes to their mental and physical health in both outpatient and inpatient settings. My educational background includes a Master of Science from the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston, Cizik School of Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center.
Mind is full of energy, so health of the mind matters first”- Hira Ratan Manek.
Hello! I'm a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing, specializing in psychiatry. I'm qualified to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults. My areas of focus include depression, anxiety, mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, OCD, panic disorder, and PTSD.
I believe in treating each person holistically — considering the mental, physical, environmental, and social factors that shape your wellbeing. My approach is non-judgmental, because I understand there is no shame or guilt in seeking help for mental health. Many of the clients I work with come to me feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and anxious — and helping them move through that is exactly why I do this work. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, shopping, and trying new foods.
When anxiety, depression, mood changes, or emotional stress begin to interfere with your daily life, it can feel like you're carrying more than you were ever meant to carry alone. You may be tired of simply getting through the day and ready for a clearer path forward. My goal is to provide a supportive space where you feel heard, respected, and understood. Together, we'll uncover what's contributing to your struggles and create a plan that helps you regain balance, build confidence, and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
I’m passionate about helping individuals find healing and balance through compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. With over a decade of experience as a registered nurse, I bring a deeply rooted sense of empathy, advocacy, and holistic understanding into every session. I’ve cared for individuals through some of their most vulnerable moments, and that same dedication guides my work in psychiatry. I believe in creating a safe, judgment-free space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Wichita Falls
Finding the right psychiatrist in Wichita Falls starts with knowing what kind of care fits your needs. Psychiatrists diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and may offer talk therapy. Psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can also diagnose and prescribe through their license. Therapists offer talk therapy but do not prescribe medication. If you’re looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, training, and care focus before booking.
In a smaller city like Wichita Falls, local psychiatry options may be more limited than in larger Texas metro areas. Virtual appointments can expand your options while still giving you access to licensed psychiatrists in Texas. Psychiatric care also tends to follow a different rhythm than therapy. Medication management appointments are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions. Some psychiatrists also offer therapy, and some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. As you compare profiles, look at appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist is accepting new patients, and what their bio says about communication style and session structure.
Psychiatric care in Wichita Falls can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before your first appointment. Headway helps you search for psychiatrists who match your preferences, verify your insurance, and see estimated out-of-pocket costs before booking. You can review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
