Hello, want to work together on a path to Clarity in 2026? I provide ADHD Support in North Carolina through telehealth or in-person visits at our Pittsboro office in the Chatham Wellness Collective. (South of Chapel Hill)

A Streamlined Approach to ADHD Care. Navigating the ADHD assessment and treatment process can be frustrating and expensive. Many individuals face delays, expensive testing fees, and additional requirements, such as a psychological evaluation and/or a doctor’s note or EKG, just to receive care. Others are seen by telehealth only providers who can't prescribe stimulants and who tell you one has to start off on Wellbutrin or Strattera (non stimulants). That is terrible care. At our clinic, we prioritize efficiency and accessibility.

We believe in low doses of medication and finding your perfect dose to balance attention with mood. Most of our ADHD patients are on low dosing.

My approach to treatment is collaborative, forward-thinking, and tailored to your unique needs. I strive to create a warm, inviting atmosphere where you can feel comfortable discussing your challenges.

State Employees- Headway is part of a program that makes most visit have only a $10 copay.

Billing transparancy- Most new patient visits are billed a 99204 or 99205 and most follow-ups are 99214's. I do NOT bill therapy add on codes to new patient visits. Sometimes Headway will estimate your visit with a therapy code ad on and this makes it $300+. New visits are never more that $175. I sometimes bill add on therapy codes to follow ups (90833) IF its part of treatment plan. I won't surprise you. Please ask any provider you pick if they use add on codes- you deserve to know.

I am a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and dual-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). I provide care to children, adolescents, and adults, and my background in both family medicine and psychiatric mental health allows me to consider the important connection between physical and mental well-being.

I evaluate and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health concerns, including depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar and other mood disorders, trauma and PTSD, personality disorders, substance use and addiction, chronic stress, anger and aggression, sleep concerns, and emotional and behavioral difficulties. My medical background also informs my work with individuals whose mental health may be affected by chronic pain, medical conditions, medications, or other physical health concerns.

In addition to my medical and psychiatric training, I have specialized training and certifications in various evidence-based psychotherapy modalities. My therapeutic work may include individual therapy, trauma-focused therapy, family therapy, and parent-child therapeutic approaches. This combination of medical, psychiatric, and therapeutic training allows me to provide care that is individualized to the needs of each person and family.

After working 15+ years as an RN I am so excited to be making a difference as a provider of mental healthcare. Working from home allows me to offer better calendar flexibility to accommodate different schedules and to take care of my aging dogs at home!

I am compassionate and empathetic and here to help you reach your goals and become the best version of yourself.

During my training I worked primarily in community behavioral health. It is my goal to beneficially serve the community and provide support to those who need it while hoping to reduce barriers and stigmas that prevent people from getting the care they really need and deserve. Access is for everyone and I want to be a beacon of that message.

I have a certificate in Spanish for Healthcare Providers and as soon as I become a little more fluent I will be able to extend my services, accurately, into a second language.

Find the right psychiatrist for you

Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Matthews

Searching for psychiatrists in Matthews starts with understanding which type of mental health care fits your needs. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication; therapists focus on talk therapy and skill-based support. If you are looking for care related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, a psychiatrist may be one option to consider. Review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, background, and approach to understand whether their training matches what you want to address.

In a smaller city like Matthews, local psychiatry appointments may be more limited, so virtual care can help expand your options across North Carolina. Medication management visits are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy as part of care. Some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber, depending on their goals and care plan. As you compare profiles, look at appointment availability, whether the psychiatrist offers virtual or in-person sessions, and how they describe their communication style before you book.

Psychiatric care in Matthews can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated price before booking. Headway helps you search for psychiatrists who match your preferences, accept your plan, and are ready for new patients. You can review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.

If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
