My name is Dr. Jennifer Ambriz. I am an Associate Psychologist and have provided counseling services during the past nineteen years. I have worked in a variety of settings including three years in a medical clinic setting, eight years in a Indigenous/Native American behavioral health setting, and seven years in a college/university student counseling center. Additionally, I have six years professional experience conducting psychological evaluations for Autism spectrum, ADHD/ADD, Learning Disorders, Washington state disability, etc. Furthermore, I have six years’ experience providing Equine Assisted Therapy services (www.EAGALA.org).

I strongly value embodying a balance with my Mental, Emotional, Spiritual, and Physical well-being . Some activities I enjoy include Yoga, Hiking, Swimming, Cooking, Reading, Language learning, Spiritually Anchored Gatherings, Educational/Culturally enriching activities, and Dancing (I am learning Hula!: ). I am a very health conscious individual and mostly eat Organic Vegetarian (Sometimes will eat wild salmon, which is a culturally significant food from the Pacific Northwest).

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with more than 20 years of nursing experience in hospitals, outpatient clinics, private practices, community health centers, and behavioral health settings. I treat a wide range of conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma-related disorders, psychotic disorders, and other complex mental health concerns.
My career also includes international humanitarian work with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), where I cared for individuals affected by conflict and crisis. This experience strengthened my commitment to providing compassionate, culturally responsive, and patient-centered care for people from diverse backgrounds.
In addition to my clinical practice, I am the author of several mental health publications that reflect my dedication to education, evidence-based practice, and improving patient outcomes. I currently provide comprehensive psychiatric care through Oasis Behavioral Health and Elevated Behavioral and Transitional Health.
