Hi, and welcome! I'm a therapist who helps people reconnect with themselves during seasons of profound change. Whether you're rediscovering who you are after getting sober or navigating the emotional and identity shifts of pregnancy and postpartum, therapy can offer space to slow down, reflect, and grow. With experience as a birth doula, I understand the complexities of becoming a parent and the many ways our sense of self evolves. Together, we'll explore what matters most to you and build a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who you're becoming.
You might be here because you're navigating a major life transition — trying to get pregnant, adjusting to motherhood, or feeling burnt out from it all!
These seasons can feel overwhelming, isolating, and confusing, especially when you're used to being the one who has it all together.
I specialize in supporting women experiencing anxiety, burnout, life transitions, pregnancy and postpartum challenges, and the unique stressors that come with new motherhood. Whether you're feeling emotionally exhausted, struggling with identity changes, experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety, or feeling stuck during a life transition, therapy can help you regain clarity and confidence. As a new mom who also lives with anxiety- I get you and I see you! You are not alone and there is a way through!
My approach is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore what you're experiencing and reconnect with yourself. Together, we work to help you feel more grounded, confident, and aligned with the life you want to create.
I work well with children, adolescents and adults, parents, couples and families. I work with helping people improve their self concept, eliminating negative thoughts that disturb our peace of mind. I help people through transitions in their life, trauma, whether that be changes in school/work, relationships, grief and loss, moves, retirement, recreating themselves etc. I help individuals, couples and families communicate in a way that betters their interpersonal relationships. I work with past grief and traumas that get in the way of healthy life functioning. I help people move toward a balanced and happier overall way of life.
I offer an interpersonal style of therapy and I use many modalities and much experience to help individuals, couples and families work through difficulties they may be facing or helping work toward living a more aware, peaceful life. Check out my website for more information. My clients say that they are put at ease with me immediately and I help them.
I am here to listen with a trained ear and help with a easy warmth that will allow you to be gentler with yourself as you become the you that you dreamed to be.
My name is Heba Hatoum, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been licensed for over two years, and have worked with various populations and diverse backgrounds in times of crisis, and during inpatient psychiatric admissions. I have experience working with those facing depression, anxiety, stress management, and life changes.
I have worked as an LPC in the state of Texas for 20+ years. I received both my bachelor's in psychology and my master's in counseling from DBU. Along the way I have been supported by a few very wise and gentle mentors who have augmented my education and awareness. I have worked in both clinical and hospital settings, as well as in private practice, with the majority of my time in private practice. My emphasis has been in working with adults, adolescents and relationships dealing with anxiety, depression, bipolar, family issues, behavior disorders, ADHD/ADD, and trauma/grief.
I’m a therapist who shows up — fully. I don’t sit back and just listen; I stay engaged, ask thoughtful (sometimes direct) questions, and work collaboratively to help you move forward. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen, valued, and supported in our work together — like they matter. That’s not an accident. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful tool for healing.
I also bring lived experience into the room. As a gay man and someone who has worked through complex trauma personally, I understand the importance of safe, affirming, and spacious therapy. I know what it means to carry parts of yourself that have long been hidden, and I consider it a privilege to support others in exploring theirs.
I've been a practitioner in the state of Texas for more than 30 years. I've worked in private practice, with CPS, provided services for drug and alcohol addiction, worked as a teacher and crisis counselor in public schools, and served as a Military Family Life Counselor. My graduate work was completed at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. I reside in a tiny town on the northern edge of the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
I’m a welcoming, down-to-earth therapist who has been supporting clients since 2008. I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity questions, and relationship challenges of all kinds. I’m LGBTQ+ affirming and experienced in working with diverse relationship structures and gender identities. Whoever you are and whatever you’re exploring, you’ll be met with respect, openness, and zero judgment.
