Hi and Welcome! I'm grateful you're taking the time to explore what connecting with me may be like. I was twenty-something when life taught me strong relationships are the key to health and well-being. Neuroscience has proven this true and we now know that we are inherently wired for connection on a neurobiological level. Connection isn’t a luxury, it’s essential to our survival. Ironically, it’s connection that can also be the source of our most profound pain and suffering. No matter how deep the hurt or how great the loss, things can shift when we feel seen, heard, and understood by another. We heal in connection with others.
Starting this journey—whether it feels overwhelming, hopeful, or somewhere in between—takes courage, and I’m here to support you every step of the way. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, low self-worth, and the lasting impact of early family dynamics.
I have a M.A. in Professional Counseling and a B.S. in Psychology. I've received training in EMDR and mindfulness. Over the last twelve years I’ve worked in the mental health field while in a variety of settings. Including a non-profit agency, university setting, drug & alcohol center, private practice, research lab, and psychiatric hospital. These settings showed how mental health impacts people with various backgrounds and identities.
I strive to create a warm, nurturing, nonjudgmental space that is inclusive and collaborative, allowing us to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Using evidence-based approaches as well as humor and compassion, my goal is to partner with my clients to empower to help them to confidently navigate life’s challenges. Together we will explore stressors, limiting beliefs, and past trauma that may be impeding you from reaching your full potential, while also exploring your unique strengths and abilities. My 19 years of experience working in the school system, as a school counselor, is very helpful when I'm working with teens.
I have an extensive background in treating individuals, couples, & families. I've contributed to local & national articles on topics of relationships, families, self worth, & stress. I create a relational, connective space to help you tune into your resiliency & energy, to gain back the emotional stability you're seeking. I specialize in bringing families together, assisting you uncover barriers to rifts with one another, and helping you reconnect to a bonded unit. Hablo español!
