Before I ever attended college, I found I enjoyed helping people with fitness training and herbs. Storms of life come to us in all kinds of ways. Like an unexpected Texas hail storm pounding us with stress and shattering our lives; or a tornado of change uprooting all that was once familiar; or perhaps a seemingly small gust of difficulty which swirls our lives around until we no longer have a sense of direction. We are in uncertain times which often creates waves of doubt and amplifies our fears as we question the future. Yet in the midst of the chaos there can be a sense of calm. I’ve been honored to walk the path of healing with those struggling in addiction, trauma, grief, loss and relationship challenges. With a background in psychology as well as recreation, I use proven methods of Counseling to empower strength in discovering a sense of purpose through clearing of the mind, restoration of the body and joy in the spirit. It takes courage to change and face the storms of life. I look forward to joining you in your journey and helping you turn the tides of your storm into hope and healing.
I’m here to provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can be truly heard. I care deeply about helping people work through trauma, improve relationships, strengthen self-esteem, and build confidence. My goal is to help you grow at your own pace and give you the tools to navigate life with more ease and independence.

Hi and Welcome! I'm grateful you're taking the time to explore what connecting with me may be like. I was twenty-something when life taught me strong relationships are the key to health and well-being. Neuroscience has proven this true and we now know that we are inherently wired for connection on a neurobiological level. Connection isn’t a luxury, it’s essential to our survival. Ironically, it’s connection that can also be the source of our most profound pain and suffering. No matter how deep the hurt or how great the loss, things can shift when we feel seen, heard, and understood by another. We heal in connection with others.
Hi! I'm Sharin, and welcome to Your Evolving Truth Therapies! Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming and I’m glad you are taking this step on the path to where you want to be. I provide individual therapy to people 16+. I am an identity-affirming and trauma-informed therapist. My areas of focus include life transitions, stress management, anxiety, depression, and grief and loss.
I strive to create a warm, nurturing, nonjudgmental space that is inclusive and collaborative, allowing us to explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. Using evidence-based approaches as well as humor and compassion, my goal is to partner with my clients to empower to help them to confidently navigate life’s challenges. Together we will explore stressors, limiting beliefs, and past trauma that may be impeding you from reaching your full potential, while also exploring your unique strengths and abilities. My 19 years of experience working in the school system, as a school counselor, is very helpful when I'm working with teens.
