You didn't come here because everything is fine. You came because something has become too heavy to carry alone — anxiety that won't switch off, panic that arrives without warning, a low mood that's drained the color out of everything, or trauma you've been holding far longer than anyone should have to. For many of the people I work with, a chronic health condition sits underneath it all, adding exhaustion and grief to days that were already hard.
I'm Amber, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I work with adults who look capable on the outside while quietly white-knuckling their way through the week. Together we slow things down, name what's actually happening, and build real, evidence-based tools you can use between sessions — not just talk about in them. You deserve a space grounded in genuine care, honesty, and support that actually moves the needle on how you feel.

I combine evidence based practice with patient approach to treatment. I help to empowre individual on their recovery journey in a stigma free environment. I am committed to accessible quality mental health to all.
I am grounded in person-centered and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Additionally, I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based model designed to help children and adolescents heal from trauma.
For the majority of my career I have supported children, adolescents, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, and learning differences, as well as neurotypical individuals. I have also worked with children and families in Philadelphia’s foster care system, military families, and professionals in the medical field.
Example: "I have always wanted a job where I was of service to others, but I didn't know how to channel that into a career until I took an introduction to psychology course in college. We learned a lot about mental illness, what causes it and different ways to treat it, which inspired me to pursue my degree. I loved the idea of helping others overcome mental illness and helping them achieve their life goals."
- My approach to therapy is interactive and collaborative, focused on your self discovery and growth. I see our work as a partnership where your voice, values, and goals matter. Together, we will explore what is bringing you to therapy and clarify the changes you hope to see in your life, relationships, and overall sense of well being.
- I prefer to join in with my clients rather than sit back and simply observe. We will actively work together to identify patterns, build insight, and develop practical tools that enhance your quality of life. I will offer gentle guidance, ask thoughtful questions, and invite your feedback so our sessions feel useful and relevant to you.
- I believe the therapy relationship is designed to support the change you are seeking. Our work will help you move toward those desired shifts at a pace that feels right, while honoring what is most important to you. If you are ready to explore your next steps in a collaborative, supportive space, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

I believe that healing begins when people feel truly seen, heard, and understood. My goal is to create a space where you don't have to have all the answers or pretend everything is okay you can simply show up as you are.
My path to becoming a therapist began at a young age. I earned my bachelor's degree in Education before completing my Master of Social Work at Baylor University and becoming a Social Worker. My background in both education and clinical social work allows me to understand how life's experiences, relationships, and environments shape who we are while helping clients develop practical, meaningful strategies for change.
I founded LyricsHeart Services because I wanted to build a practice centered on compassion, connection, and hope. The name "LyricsHeart" was inspired by my dog, Lyric, whose unconditional love and comfort reminded me of the profound impact that being present for someone can have. After experiencing the grief of losing Lyric, I gained an even deeper appreciation for the ways loss, love, and resilience shape our lives. Those experiences continue to influence how I show up for my clients, with empathy, authenticity, and the belief that healing is possible even after life's most difficult moments.
Today, I primarily work with adults, young adults, and kids navigating anxiety, grief, life transitions, stress, self-esteem, relationship challenges, and the emotional weight that can come from trying to hold everything together. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I don't believe therapy is about "fixing" you, it's about helping you better understand yourself, recognize your strengths, and build the tools you need to move forward with confidence.
Whether you're facing a major life transition, processing a loss, or simply looking for a place where you can breathe and be yourself, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
I have over 24 years of experience working with all different age groups and diagnoses. I have extensive experience working with complex trauma to include military, veteran and first responder related experiences. I have years of experience working with PTSD, moral injury and survivor's guilt.
