The counseling relationship between you and I is one of mutual respect and responsibility. Starting with understanding where you are now and the challenges you are facing, we will work together to help you move forward and reach your goals. Therapy is a process that takes place in a non-judgmental environment where you are free to share your thoughts, emotions, and concerns.

I take pleasure in being down-home friendly and plainspoken. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). I happen to be a disabled veteran and a Bible-believing Christian. While my faith in Christ and my family are the central part of my life, I don't push it on others, but my faith definitely helps me treat others with care, compassion, respect and without judgment.. I enjoy working with people from various backgrounds and cultures.
I’m a therapist who shows up — fully. I don’t sit back and just listen; I stay engaged, ask thoughtful (sometimes direct) questions, and work collaboratively to help you move forward. Clients often tell me they feel genuinely seen, valued, and supported in our work together — like they matter. That’s not an accident. I believe the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful tool for healing.
I also bring lived experience into the room. As a gay man and someone who has worked through complex trauma personally, I understand the importance of safe, affirming, and spacious therapy. I know what it means to carry parts of yourself that have long been hidden, and I consider it a privilege to support others in exploring theirs.
I've been a practitioner in the state of Texas for more than 30 years.
