I believe meaningful support begins with meeting you where you are. As a counselor with 25 years of private-practice experience, I take a warm, grounded approach to therapy, one built on genuine connection, shared understanding, and respect for your lived experience.
My goal is to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported as you navigate life’s challenges and work toward meaningful change. I take time to understand your story, your goals, and what matters most to you, so our work together feels practical, collaborative, and connected to your everyday life.
Whether you are seeking therapy for the first time or returning for additional support, you do not have to have everything figured out before we begin. We can start wherever you are and take the next step together, at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is rooted in trust, empathy, curiosity, and genuine care. I believe that meaningful change begins in a safe, supportive relationship where you feel seen and understood. I strive to create an environment where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely, without judgment. I have had experience working with all ages- spanning from private practice, community mental health, school social work / school based therapy, and residential treatment centers. While I love working with children and adolescents, I also provide space for adults and parents.
Therapy is meant to be a place where anyone can feel safe and understood. With all of the major stressors that kids are facing in this current age, it can be a game-changer for a child to have a place where they feel accepted and supported. I became a therapist not to pathologize or diagnose children, but to become another safe adult in their support system who guides them to their goals and cheers them on from the sidelines. I specialize in helping children and teens ages 3–17 navigate through emotional challenges, stressful life transitions, and difficult developmental experiences through play therapy and a warm, supportive environment.
I completed my education in California and my post graduate work in Hawaii. My training had a heavy emphasis in relationships but my career has been heavily clinical. I have worked in a residential treatment center for substance use as well as eating disorders, a psych hospital, a university, a church counseling center, and private practice shared with psychiatry. Very few topics I am not competent to tackle with you at this point!
