You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, stuck in old patterns, or unsure how to move forward, therapy can be a place to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and begin creating meaningful change. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship struggles, major life transitions, and the effects of past experiences. I also have a special interest in helping women work through self-esteem, body image, emotional regulation, and relationship challenges. For couples, I help partners who feel disconnected, caught in recurring conflict, struggling to communicate, or trying to rebuild trust after infidelity.
You don't have to be good at talking about feelings to start therapy.
I work with adults who may feel stressed, stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure what needs to change-but know they don't want to keep going the way they have been. I especially enjoy working with men navigating relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, major life changes, or the pressure of trying to hold everything together.
I have 10 years of experience working in mental health. My style is warm, holistic and collaborative with plenty of humor along the way. Therapy with me is a place to be honest about what isn't working, understand yourself better, and start making changes that actually fit your life.
I have worked with children my entire life, but most recently I have work professionally in mental health with children and teens (age 2-19). I started working with young children in treatment foster-care and in 2013, teens in the juvenile court system . Then for 7 years I had provided mental health services in the school setting before moving to private practice in 2021.

Randy Carmack, LISW, LICDC
Compassionate, Solution-Focused Therapy for Your Authentic Self
Hello! I’m Randy Carmack, a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. Since 2014, I have been dedicated to helping individuals navigate life's challenges and unlock their full potential.
My therapeutic philosophy bridges two essential truths: I am an expert in the process of change, and you are the expert in your own life
I look forward to partnering with you to achieve the growth and greatness you desire for yourself.
What was your path to becoming a mental health provider?
I always had a desire to understand people and didn't realize there was a profession centered around my curiosity until college. I was also very intrigued with trying to understand my emotions growing up and because I struggled, I developed a desire to help others through their life challenges. I started providing support services to families and volunteers through a mentoring agency, which later led to interning at a psychiatric outpatient facility, to working with foster children providing therapy and to also growing my private practice here with Alma working with adults and children.
What should someone know about working with you?
I believe I am relatable and open to the sharing of myself with the understanding and expectation that you will be entrusting your vulnerabilities with me in session. I will challenge your thoughts, your patterns and your assumptions, and I give homework routinely as an extension of our time together to keep you active and engaged until we meet again.
How do you continue learning and building new skills?
I am committed to being a life-long learner. I take courses and trainings annually, listen to and learn from seasoned clinicians and try to stay afloat of new groundbreaking research related to treatments and techniques surrounding mental health.
"Success for me, is helping others create the wellness they desire."
If you’ve been feeling anxious, down, overwhelmed, or unable to focus, I want to understand what that looks like in your everyday life. I’m curious by nature, I ask questions, and I take your experience seriously. My approach to psychiatry considers how your physical health, sleep, stress, and lifestyle may be contributing to how you feel.

I'm a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of Ohio with experience working with diverse populations and with various mental health issues. I am passionate about helping people gain insight and a sense of empowerment as they navigate transitions and challenges inherent in life. In therapy, I create a safe and open space for you to deepen your awareness of yourself and others so that we can begin to explore the way the stories we tell ourselves impact our mental and emotional health and wellbeing.

I would describe my approach as warm, solution-focused, and client centered. You are the expert on You! My goal is to help you heal through a mindful process for a deeper awareness of self and begin to establish new patterns of behavior to help you achieve a greater well-being. Great to meet you! I’m a multistate-licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in mental health and trauma-informed care. I have worked with adolescents, adults, older adults, veterans, and current and former professional athletes. I know reaching out for support can feel difficult, so I strive to make therapy comfortable from the start. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, the beach, yoga, traveling, sporting events, and time with my dogs, family, and friends.
I’m Jessica Johnson, an independently licensed therapist for both mental health and substance use for over a decade. I believe everyone deserves grace for where they are and support to grow to where they want to be. I can help you untangle difficult thoughts, feelings, and experiences to improve your well-being, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing techniques, and more. As a solution-focused therapist, I will encourage you to embrace ideas and opportunities and will provide a trusting environment as you do so. I support a harm-reduction approach for substance use disorder, understanding that growth is incremental and not everyone is ready for complete abstinence. Taking care of yourself is important and you don't have to do it alone.
