I am a member of a prestigious group of therapists at NY Mental Health Center. We understand that it takes courage to speak with a therapist, but the potential rewards outweigh the risks of opening up. I have experience helping clients with anxiety, mood disorders, relationship problems, addictions, trauma, and coping with disease, among other concerns. I work with each patient to create a strong relationship and I strive to create a safe and comfortable environment for open communication.
Hi, I’m Dr. Mike Genovese. I’m a board-certified psychiatrist with 23 years of experience. I began my career in a hospital setting before transitioning to private practice. My focus is on combining clinical expertise with a practical, compassionate approach to help patients feel understood and supported in their treatment.
I chose to become a therapist because I am amazed at the healing process through human connection. As complex beings, I am left in awe at the strength and resilience each individual possesses. I believe that despite difficulties faced, we have the power to rewrite our own story and live to fullest most authentic selves.
Our work together will not only aid you in overcoming any difficulties you may be facing but help understand patterns to develop tools that can be used in everyday life.
I aim to provide a healing space through compassion, support and acceptance. My approach is grounded in psychodynamic theory, however, I often utilize tools from different modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and inner child healing.
I hope to have the opportunity to hear from you and help you achieve your greater self.
My name is Amanda Egan and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have always had a passion of helping others and I am constantly inspired by listening to people’s stories. I have over a decade of clinical experience. I have worked with all ages and populations. Currently I also work as a Middle School Social Worker and assist adolescents in managing their school related stress and anxiety symptoms on a daily basis.
I specialize in anxiety and depression, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder and many more. I use a strengths based perspective and encourage my patients to use positive self talk. Contact me if you are currently in need of assistance or just need someone to talk to. I am a full time social worker and pitbull Mom but I will make myself available to you as needed.
I encourage everyone, no matter your background, circumstances or symptoms to reach out. If I feel I am not the best therapist to suit your needs, I can provide resources and referrals.
