If you're overwhelmed or seeking change, I'm here to help. Together we'll explore your patterns, reconnect with who you are, and build a personalized toolbox for long-term growth. My approach is warm, grounded, and centered on your own unique story.
Welcome. I am Renee Benavidez, LPCC, and I earned my master’s degree from New Mexico Highlands University in 2012, dedicating my entire 14-year career to supporting both teenagers and adults. While I spent my first 11 years guiding court-committed individuals, I have spent the last three years focusing on the broader community to help clients heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use, and adjustment disorders. My primary approach is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful tool that helps process and heal deep-rooted wounds. Nothing brings me more joy than witnessing the inspiring, positive transformations my clients make as they reclaim their lives and well-being.
I have been a counselor in varied settings. It is my calling. I want to make you feel comfortable and safe when you talk with me. I also want feedback from you if you have any concerns. I do have a master's degree in human development and family relations. I prefer to work with adults and older adolescents. I am certified in DBT and I am working on certification in Trauma treatment and the psychological treatment of ADHD. While I am straight, I am allied with the LBGTQI clients. I like working on relationship area, trauma, trauma and substance abuse, mood disorders, victims of narcisstic abuse, victims of domestic violence. My approach to therapy is eclectic, but I do try to empower clients and help them change old, negative thought patterns that are keeping them from moving forward and accomplishing their goals.
I work with teens (13+) and adults who are navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, mood disorders like depression and bipolar disorder, sexual addiction, and gender identity exploration. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure of your next steps, or just need a space where you can be yourself, you’re not alone.
It is essential to me to build a strong therapeutic alliance so you feel safe, comfortable, and supported in your healing. I encourage my clients to be advocates for their own well-being, and I see therapy as a space where you can begin to reconnect with your purpose and move toward the life you want.
I am a faith-based clinician, and I believe therapy can be especially powerful when we integrate the spiritual aspect with evidence-based practices, if that’s something that feels meaningful to you.
Hi, I’m Micah, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a decade of overall healthcare experience across the lifespan—from pediatric care to hospice care. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and mood disorders, and I believe care should feel like a real conversation—not a lecture. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and yes... we can laugh a little along the way too. Whether you’re starting fresh or picking yourself back up, I’m here to help you feel more like you again.
I love helping people develop skills to improve their lives, communication and relationships. It is important to know that one theory does not meet everyone’s needs, therefore I use many different approaches to helping my clients to build their own best version of themselves.
