I’m a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with nearly two decades of experience supporting individuals and families through behavioral health and substance use challenges. My approach is grounded in trauma‐informed care, cultural sensitivity, and meeting people exactly where they are. I believe healing happens when people feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment.
I completed my Master of Science in Nursing at Monmouth University and have worked across inpatient, outpatient, community, and addiction treatment settings. My background includes detox and MAT services, crisis stabilization, care coordination, and leading interdisciplinary teams. I also serve as a clinical instructor for BSN students, which keeps me connected to education, mentorship, and the next generation of nurses.
I specialize in treating depressive and anxiety-related disorders and mood disorders. I love helping couples and families to get to know each other on a deeper level, whether it's communication or intimacy. My style is empathetic, but also solution-based and goal-oriented. How do we make sense of our stuff? This is a critical question. Life can be challenging and sometimes we can’t understand what we are experiencing and why. Much of our ability to overcome adversity originates from our mindset- how we process our experiences. It is the lens through which we view our reality.
Essentially, what contributes to our overall well-being is not necessarily the absence of setbacks but rather how we respond to these experiences. Our ability to accept our challenges, to make meaning out of them, to understand how they serve us, is necessary for our personal growth. I work with my clients to help them shift their mindset and to find meaning in all of life’s experiences.
