I am becoming very specialized in relational issues, whether meeting with couples or individuals. As a society, so many are struggling in relationships, connections, and sexuality. I look at these issues largely from a developmental perspective meaning increased self- knowledge can make a huge difference in getting unstuck from negative patterns.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, mood changes, difficulty focusing, or the weight of past experiences, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I’m Adelma Reyes, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with over 20 years of experience working with adults. I support people navigating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and trauma-related concerns.
I believe therapy is a space where you can feel truly heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll gently explore what’s been weighing on you, make sense of patterns that may be holding you back, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded and in control. My hope is that you leave sessions feeling clearer, stronger, and more connected to yourself. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish.
I believe you've been gathering crucial information throughout your life that's needed to feel peace from painful past experiences and to create a fulfilling present life. The ability to access and apply that information is where I can help. Searching for the right therapist can be hard, but the search itself says that you're using your knowledge to take charge of finding the support you need. That's empowerment. Searching also means you believe in the possibility of making changes in your life. I call that hope. Empowerment and hope are all you need to start finding a new way of being.
As a board certified psychotherapist, I believe prioritizing mental health is key to happiness and stability in life. Seeking help can be one of the hardest parts, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for 10 years, I work with a plethora of inter-generational clients aged 21-90 who are struggling with anxiety and depression and trauma.
As a chaplain, I take a psycho-spiritual approach and work with clients assisting with intercultural issues, blended family dynamics, religiosity challenges and grief & loss.
My favorite saying is, "Shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces" - Ann Voskamp. I work very hard to create that safe space for the folks that choose to work with me. I am just another human on this journey with professional expertise in helping you tell your story and process your life experiences. I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about you!
I specialize in treatment of psychosis, anxiety, and depression. I completed my counseling degree at the University of Missouri in St. Louis in 2021 and am currently working towards a doctorate in psychology through Ponce Health Sciences University. I have worked for inpatient hospitals for two years and in private practice before that. Currently, I am working in a jail setting for competency restoration services.
I am curious and validating, providing a nurturing environment to talk openly and honestly about your struggles, strengths, weaknesses, needs, likes, and dislikes. I love helping people explore their unique and particular powers as well as how these powers impact their world and their relationships. As a passionate supporter of those who have been through unjust or otherwise traumatic experiences--including those experiencing discrimination based upon race or gender identity or sexual orientation--I am particularly interested in helping people gain skills for dealing with, and making sense of, the remnants of their pasts.
Having completed Bessel Van der Kolk's Trauma Research Foundation's Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies in early 2025, I have a strong foundational understanding of the most cutting edge approaches to treating trauma. I am also comfortable using a combination of approaches, including Psychodynamic, Gestalt, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I received an MSW from the University of Pennsylvania, a psychodynamically focused program, after which I completed Bryn Mawr's certificate program in psychodynamic psychotherapy. I have also completed 1 year of Gestalt Therapy training and the Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Immersion Program.
As an LCSW, my training emphasized the role of social environment--from the family to society at large--in how we construct our narratives, enabling me to help you make sense of what in your life is yours to own and what is a product of your environment.
