My name is Dr. Teresa Moore and I am a dedicated mental health therapist who has been practicing since 2012. With over a decade of experience, I have helped individuals navigate challenges, build resilience, and improve their overall well-being.
I'm a social worker therapist with 10 years in clinical practice, and over 30 years experience helping clients in poverty, housing instability, or aging-related challenges also manage their personal mental health issues. My social work background is mental health and aging specializing in adult ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, and trauma.
I have a yoga background with RYT 200 teacher training and 20 years of personal practice, and I bring a yoga approach to clinical treatment where I show the client how to control and calm the mind, find inner balance, and navigate their personal mental health journey.
If people struggle with challenges- organizing responsibilities, finishing tasks on time, or just feeling stuck; and need ways to cope and feel better, I can help.
Good therapy can change your life! In the decade that I've been a psychotherapist, I've accompanied my clients through breaking vicious cycles, reworking toxic patterns, and creating new habits that promote their flourishing. My advanced clinical training makes me especially effective working with clients who self-describe as perfectionists, people pleasers, over-functioning, and/or highly sensitive.
I began my career working with children and quickly expanded my expertise to include adults and couples. Throughout my 26 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have seen the incredible power of the human spirit to overcome trauma and unexpected life struggles. Watching my clients transition from "surviving" to "thriving" remains the most inspiring part of my work.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with 21 years of experience and a background that
goes well beyond the therapy room. Before I became a therapist, I worked across a wide
range of fields — and I bring that broad human perspective into every session. I don't
approach your struggle with a clipboard. I approach it with genuine curiosity about who you
are.
I'm trained in EMDR, CBT, ACT, and DBT, which means I have real tools for real problems —
anxiety that won't quiet down, ADHD that's been dismissed for years, trauma that's never
been properly addressed, grief that doesn't follow a timeline, or a relationship that needs
rebuilding. I work with adults, older adults and seniors, and adolescents, and I offer both in-
person sessions in Fenton, Michigan and telehealth throughout the state.
I also accept Medicare, VA Community Care, TRICARE, and over 25 other insurance plans
— because access to quality care shouldn't be the barrier that stops someone from getting
better.
I’m so glad you’re here. Reaching out for support can be one of the hardest steps, and the fact that you’re here already says a lot about your strength and willingness to care for yourself or your family.
I am a fully licensed clinical social worker and trauma therapist with over 8 years of experience in the mental health field. Over the past 6 years, my work has focused primarily on providing trauma-informed therapy for children, adolescents, adults and families.
I hold a master’s degree in social work and have specialized training in trauma-focused treatment approaches.
I have experience supporting individuals and families navigating trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, and life transitions. Whether I’m working with a child, teen, or adult, my goal is to help build resilience, strengthen connections, and support lasting healing.
I truly believe that sharing our stories in a safe space can be a powerful step toward growth, and I feel honored to walk alongside my clients in that process.
I have been counseling people of all ages for 43 years. I begin with listening to your story. I not only want to hear it; I want to understand it as well. Sometimes, this mutual understanding alone is all that a client needs. During the intake process, I will ask you detailed questions to further understanding of your situation and issues you are dealing with right now. Next, we will work together to form a plan of action which will guide our sessions together, which typically last 45 – 50 minutes. This plan of action will focus on helping you, the client, work towards solving problems and issues that you present. Did I mention that takes work? Achieving understanding of issues and taking appropriate actions towards wellness both take time, concentration and energy.
