My name is Sarah Cardenas. I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-C) based in central Maryland, and the founder of Two Sparrows Counseling of Maryland. I primarily work with children ages 5 and up, moms, and individuals navigating recovery from substance use, gambling, or other addictions.
I also offer Christian counseling for clients who would like to incorporate their faith into our work together.
As a mom myself, I know how important it is for kids to have the support they need to grow - and how easily moms' own needs get pushed to the back burner while they carry so much for everyone else. And having grown up in central Maryland, I've seen firsthand what addiction can do to a community. Helping people fight their way back from it isn't just professional work for me - it's personal calling.
Welcome! I have been a licensed social worker in the state of Maryland for just over three years. I have worked with clients in outpatient settings since my social work career began. I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing/have experienced symptoms related to generalized anxiety, OCD, and grief/loss. I have primarily worked with the adolescent and young adult populations, but I am open to working with clients of all ages.
Life can be messy, and I specialize in helping mamas and survivors of trauma navigate through complicated and uncharted waters. I believe we are all working to be our best selves, and with support and strategies you will get there - you are not alone, and there is hope.
Life can be challenging. We are impacted by many factors such as work, stress, family dynamics, relationships, physical health, mental health, environment and past experiences. If you are reading this, chances you are ready to take the first step toward changing your life. Welcome! let's partner together to reach your goals and to live the fulfilling life you deserve.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your emotions, experiences, and hopes for the future. My goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to live a healthier, more fulfilling life and relationships.
Hi there, I’m Elizabeth, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than five years of experience supporting adults 18 and older. I went into psychiatry because I saw how deeply mental health and overall health are connected, and I knew I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. I’m honored to walk alongside my clients as they move toward healing, growth, and greater wellness.
I have 19 years of experience as a clinical social worker having worked in school settings, hospital settings and outpatient clinic settings. I completed my Master's Degree in Social Work in 2007 and have practiced clinical social work since that time as an LCSW-C. Most of my career has been spent as a mental health therapist, I have been in private practice since 2019. I take a holistic and client centered approach to therapy, often focusing on relationship, mood, anxiety and family issues. I use a mindfulness approach to treatment and often incorporate CBT in sessions, helping clients understand the connection between thoughts and behavior.
I am objective as it applies to one’s life.
Further, I am non judgemental. I help one to find their way to healing and wholeness.
I'm Cassi Pinder, the EMDR specialist helping people thrive after trauma. I am trained as a Professional Counselor. During my academic training, in addition to my degree, I am EMDR trained. After my academic training, I started working at MeadowWood Behavioral Hospital, an acute psychiatric unit. I worked with adolescents, substance abuse, and adult clients. I have worked with the Kent County Health Department implementing substance abuse prevention programs in middle and high schools. I believe in the old proverb "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". Since 2016, I have been working with the Community Behavioral Health providing services in an outpatient setting.
