I worked in various inpatient mental health facilities, assisted individuals with learning disabilities, helped others with chronic illnesses, taught people ways to manage life traumas, and guided people who suffered with grief.
Hi, I’m Joi Dyson, LCSW-C — a therapist, life coach, and intuitive healer with 20 years of experience helping women break free from patterns that no longer serve them.
I specialize in working with women in their who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected — even when everything looks fine on the outside. Many of my clients are professionals, caregivers, or creatives navigating issues like perfectionism, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, or chronic relationship struggles. You may have accomplished a lot — yet still carry a quiet, persistent feeling of “not enough.”
My name is Joana Quarshie, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar disorder, Sleep disorder, Attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) and substance use disorder. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapy tailored to each person’s needs and goals. My approach is warm, honest, and grounded. I aim to keep sessions compassionate and transparent, creating a space where you feel truly heard. I don't sit back as the sole expert but believed we’re in this together as a team, working side by side to help you reach your goals.
Are you currently struggling with substance use and/or considering sobriety? Have you had enough? Maybe you have legal issues, mental health concerns, family and financial stressors, or experience shame and guilt regularly. Perhaps you love someone who struggles with substances and feel like your needs get lost in the mix. I have personal experience with this as my spouse is in recovery. Much of my work centers around adults and their families as they navigate substance use and legal involvement, bringing both clinical skill and grounded real‐world experience. My goal is to help you understand yourself or your situation more deeply while you learn to navigate a healthy life.
My intention is to provide a judgment-free space where we can talk about what is going on and collaborate to move forwards in the best way possible. I am flexible in my approach to counseling, and I tailor my counseling style based on the needs of each person I work with. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients (age, gender, concerns, etc.) and I am passionate about what I do. I am into fitness and healthy lifestyle, and I support my clients with creating their own foundation of wellness.
As a licensed clinical professional counselor and certified school counselor, I prioritize relationship building and community. I am a two time HBCU graduate (soon to be three!) I have growing expertise working with Black girls and women. I work with my clients to honor their process through intuitive healing and growth.
