Welcome! I see clients in Illinois and Connecticut.
Therapy starts with a supportive relationship to best understand and support the goals of each client.
I see a range of clients and issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, medical issues, caregiver stress and life transitions. I worked in oncology for over a dozen years, and also specialize in cancer support and survivorship for patients and families. And I welcome clients who want to incorporate their faith and spirituality into their counseling.
I support clients through a warm, attuned, and relationship‐centered approach. My intention is to be collaborative, helpful, and grounded in trust‐based, relational work. If you’re ready for a space where your story is honored, I'm here. Struggling to connect, trust, or regulate your emotions? Experiences in life influences our levels of anxiety, depression, and overall ability to manage. I would love to help you navigate your next steps.
As the curator of Get Your Mind Right Therapy Services LLC., we work with Adult Individuals. Our motto: ‘A Healed Mind Leads to a Healed Life’. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who specializes in Couples and Adult Individual Therapy. I graduated in 2012 which means I have lots of experience and wisdom.
I believe therapy should be a place where you don’t have to have it all together. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals who are used to being the “strong one” for everyone else, but privately struggle with relationships, boundaries, confidence, or life transitions. I strive to create a warm, collaborative space where you can show up authentically, gain insight into patterns that no longer serve you, and build healthier relationships with yourself and others. I especially enjoy working with Black women and LGBTQ+ adults and strive to create an affirming, culturally responsive space where clients can show up fully as themselves.
