I was born and raised in one of Nigeria’s vibrant and bustling cities, where I learned the values of community, resilience, and compassion from an early age. Inspired by a deep desire to make a difference in people’s lives, I pursued my education in health care. This journey has been a blessing and a privilege, allowing me to work in health care and provide care for the people I love and serve.
My family and I have built a home filled with love and laughter. They bring joy and inspiration to my life every day. I'm excited to support my clients in bringing that same love and joy and laughter back into their own lives.
You've felt like you aren't as happy as you could be. It's hard to stop your mind from overthinking and worrying about everything, sometimes even getting to the point of feeling panicky. Or maybe you feel stuck and like you aren't satisfied with life even though you "should be." Maybe you've had a little bit of therapy before, but it feels like just talking about your problems isn't enough. You're looking for real-life skills you can use to help yourself think, feel and live better.
I want to help you optimize your life with a holistic and creative approach to therapy so that you can create a life you're excited about without being bored along the way. As a psychologist, yoga teacher, fellow human, and student of nutritional and integrative medicine for mental health, I bring an integrative wellness-based approach to your healing .
I believe we can work together to help you create a life that feels worth living. Previous clients have appreciated my ease, authenticity, humor, and creative, down-to-earth style. Call me to schedule an appointment to help you move away from stress, worry, and sadness and towards wellness, peace of mind, and contentment.
Life can often feel like a series of overwhelming transitions, leaving you feeling disconnected or unsure of your next step. I provide a dedicated space for adults (22+) to slow down, reflect, and move forward with renewed clarity.
Whether you are navigating the complexities of trauma, managing a mood disorder, or facing significant life changes, my goal is to help you transform "feeling stuck" into a journey of intentional growth.
How We Will Work Together
My approach is relational, honest, and depth-oriented. Rather than just addressing surface-level symptoms, we will explore the unspoken beliefs and past experiences that quietly shape your daily life. By learning to listen to what your emotions are communicating, you can begin to respond to life’s challenges in ways that promote genuine healing and authentic connection.
Specialized Support for Couples
In addition to individual therapy, I specialize in marriage and pre-marital counseling. I help couples at all stages build resilient foundations, repair emotional disconnections, and foster a deeper sense of intimacy and mutual understanding.
**Please note: While I accept insurance for individual therapy, all couples counseling is private-pay only. Insurance does not cover relationship-focused therapy.
Your Journey Starts Here
You deserve a space where you are fully seen, heard, and empowered. No matter where you are in your journey, I am here to support you in creating meaningful, lasting change.
I’m Debra Wren, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience helping adults navigate life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University, my Bachelor's in Interdisciplinary Studies from Arkansas State University and I am licensed in Missouri and Georgia.
I believe some of our greatest growth comes through the experiences we never expected. As a wife, mother, and woman who has navigated my own seasons of change, I understand what it means to keep showing up for others while sometimes losing sight of yourself. That perspective allows me to bring compassion, authenticity, and real-life understanding into my work.
I help adults with anxiety, depression, relationship and family stress, life transitions, self-worth, and unhealthy patterns. I also help couples (private pay only) with communication, conflict, emotional disconnection, betrayal, attachment concerns, and blended-family challenges.
I provide in-person and virtual counseling in Missouri and virtual counseling throughout Georgia.
