I have a passion for creating a collaborative, supportive environment for personal growth and healing. I believe that seeking therapy is a profound act of self-respect and care, and my goal is to provide a space where you feel truly heard and valued. Together, we can navigate the challenges of life, uncovering clarity and direction in the midst of complexity. My approach is rooted in fostering a comfortable, nonjudgmental atmosphere where your story can unfold, and your goals can take center stage.
I believe that meaningful change happens when people feel heard, understood, and supported. My goal is to provide a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where we can work together to address life’s challenges, build on your strengths, and help you move toward the life you want to live.
I earned my master’s degree from Columbia University and have completed post-graduate training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based practices. With more than 20 years of experience, I have worked in inpatient medical and psychiatric hospitals, outpatient community mental health, and telehealth settings, helping adults from their 20s through their 80s navigate depression, anxiety, ADHD, chronic illness, stress management, life transitions, relationship challenges, family stress, and caregiving.
My approach is practical, compassionate, and evidence-based, integrating CBT, mindfulness, positive psychology, and other proven strategies to help clients develop lasting skills for emotional well-being. I view therapy as a partnership and believe that each person is the expert on their own life. Together, we’ll identify meaningful goals, overcome obstacles, and celebrate progress along the way.
For clients who wish to incorporate faith or spirituality into therapy, I welcome those conversations with openness and respect. While my own background is rooted in the Catholic faith, I strive to honor each person’s unique beliefs, values, and life experiences.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my two boys and our two dogs on Florida’s Gulf Coast. You’ll often find me at the beach, swimming, paddle boarding, or relaxing with a good book. I believe that nurturing the relationships and activities that bring us joy is an important part of living a healthy, balanced life.
Great to meet you!
