My name is Muriell Carlisle, for over 15 years, I’ve dedicated my life to making a positive impact on individuals, couples, groups, and families through the art of counseling. My journey has taken me across continents and through diverse settings, shaping my unique perspective on the human experience.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with 7 years of experience supporting individuals across the lifespan, from children to adults. While my career journey has allowed me to explore various areas, currently I have maintained a focus and passionate with helping adults begin or continue their journey toward healing and personal growth.
I provide a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families, and I support clients navigating concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment-related challenges.
Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to navigate it alone, I’m here to walk alongside you and can't wait to meet you!
I believe that each of us carries more wisdom about our own life than any therapist ever could. My job isn’t to hand you answers, it’s to walk alongside you as you find them. Whatever brought you to this page: a child who’s struggling, a family stuck in the same painful pattern, a relationship that needs tending, or a version of yourself you’re trying to understand, please know that we'll work together and uncover the wise part of you who can help. I work with children, teens, individuals, and families, and I especially love working with parents and kids together.
My areas of expertise are family, social and interpersonal conflict, parenting, depression, anxiety, sexual identity concerns, academic challenges, anger issues, low self-confidence, esteem and past traumatic experiences. Other areas of expertise include intimate partner violence, LGBTQ, women's issues, grief, romantic relationship issues and stress.
I work with individuals, children, and families, helping them rebuild life skills while addressing mental health challenges. I completed my Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of South Florida and earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish, and I’ve worked extensively with Hispanic families, making me uniquely suited to address their specific needs.
My additional training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Integrative Harm Reduction Techniques, and I’m currently undergoing training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
