Jade is an EMDR (Eye movement Desensitization & Reprocessing) trained therapist. (EMDR is a therapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences). She believes that we are all beautiful--some of us know it, some of us don't, and some of us know it too well.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York. My approach to therapy is warm, open-minded, collaborative, and supportive. Throughout that process, I use an integrative

approach utilizing DBT, CBT, strength-based therapy, and solution-focused therapy. I specialize in

couples’ therapy, and treatment resistant individual therapy.

I am a National Board-Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor to practice in Florida (LMHC). I obtained my PhD in Counseling at George Washington University and my master’s in clinical Mental Health at Villanova University.

I am a Catholic, bilingual, and bicultural clinical mental health counselor providing services in English and Spanish. I migrated to the United States 19 years ago as an international student. I bring a deep understanding of diverse lived experiences and the unique stressors related to acculturation and immigration. Also, I am an assistant professor, proudly teaching at the university level, to the next generation of master and doctoral students in Counseling.

I believe that meaningful therapy begins with feeling seen, understood, and safe, so I want to share a bit about who I am and how I work. I am currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology (PsyD), and I also hold a master’s degree in counseling. My training has included work in a variety of clinical settings, where I’ve had the opportunity to support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. At the core of my work is the belief that people are incredibly resilient, even when it doesn’t feel that way. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable being your authentic self, while also gently challenging and supporting you toward growth.

I'm a relational therapist specializing in treating grief & loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, & parent-child relationships with adolescents & adults. The human brain is hardwired for relationship & connection, so I work hard to build a safe space for us to explore, learn, & grow together.
