I specialize in supporting adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, substance use, addiction and recovery, and life transitions. I also work with individuals living with disabilities, chronic illness, dual diagnoses, and those adjusting to major life changes—whether that’s an empty nest, a new diagnosis, or the weight of uncertainty. I’ve supported individuals moving through cancer treatment and understand the emotional toll health challenges can bring. My role is to be a steady support system—someone who listens deeply, sits with you without judgment, and helps you build coping tools that make everyday life feel lighter and more manageable.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) providing compassionate, evidence-based care for adults. I earned my Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Toledo and have clinical experience in outpatient psychiatry, inpatient, and detox settings. From a young age as an “old soul” I’ve carried a deep desire to witness & share people’s stories. I have always been a deep thinker and feeler. Born and raised near the Great Lake Erie (PA), I attended Penn State for my undergraduate studies in Human Development & Family Studies as well as Sociology. People & their development, both individually and collectively as a group, continue to fascinate me. There is always more to learn. More than 10 years ago I moved cross-country sight unseen to Tucson to attend the University of Arizona where I earned my Master’s in Counseling & Mental Health. The desert completely enchanted me and I’ve never left! We live in such a beautiful, healing place.
As I dove into the fields of both behavioral health & education, it became apparent that families often aren’t set up for or connected to the resources necessary to thrive. With a background in elementary school counseling, I worked with a vast variety of populations of students, families, and staff to problem-solve and collaborate toward whole-person success.
Do you constantly feel overwhelmed, anxious, or irritable? Maybe your mind races with “what-ifs” or worst-case scenarios. You struggle with quieting the inner critic and negative thoughts and at times feel like you’re not good enough. Do you have difficulty managing your emotions and maybe even feel emotionally numb? Maybe you find yourself feeling stuck in the past. You may be searching for a way to handle life stressors with more mastery, heal from past wounds, create stronger and more fulfilling relationships with yourself and others, or for help dealing with difficult life changes.
I have had the pleasure of serving clients in this field in a variety of roles for the past twenty years. I consider an eclectic approach to therapy that is based on client needs to be best. While I am trained in CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, Mindfulness, and Person-centered therapy, I rely on the therapeutic relationship to help guide which strategies will be the most beneficial.
