Hi! I'm Victoria Plotas, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I am passionate about helping adults (18 years and older) improve their mental health and overall well-being through compassionate, individualized care. I provide personalized mental health services, including comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, brief supportive, cognitive, and behavioral interventions, and evidence-based complementary and alternative treatment approaches tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
I believe that mental health care should begin with feeling heard, understood, and accepted. I strive to create a warm, safe, and nonjudgmental space where you can be open and honest about what you are experiencing.
I bring both professional expertise and genuine empathy to my work. Having navigated my own experiences with immigration, career changes and motherhood, I understand how destabilizing major life transitions can be. Those experiences shape how I show up for patients. I believe people do best when they feel truly seen, heard, and supported. My approach is integrative and individualized, grounded in evidence based care while also guided by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s unique story and capacity for growth.
My focus is on psychiatric medication management, including diagnosis and ongoing care for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and related concerns. I do not provide weekly or primary psychotherapy, and may not be the best fit if you are seeking therapy-only services. If you are looking for ongoing talk therapy, I encourage you to select a licensed therapist (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, or PhD) whose profile and approach best meet your needs.
Notice for New Jersey Clients: Due to current New Jersey law, stimulant medications cannot be prescribed without an in-person assessment. Because my practice is exclusively online, I am unable to prescribe these medications. I am, however, happy to help you explore non-controlled medication options for ADHD and other supportive strategies.
Please also note: I do not offer medical marijuana evaluations or cards.
Hi! My name is Sara and I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of nursing experience. I have worked in Sports Medicine, Pain Management, and Emergency Medicine. I believe prioritizing mental health is some of the best self care you can do, and I would love to help you feel like your best self.
My name is Henry Coffield and I believe in mental wellness. The beginning of any process has to involve belief. I have worked for over 20 years in this field. I bring an open minded , humorous perspective through the therapeutic process. I believe in medication management yet it has to include additional work such as mentorship, life coach, therapist, spiritual advisor.
I believe that each person brings a unique story shaped by their life experiences, values, and cultural background. My clinical work has taken place across a variety of settings—including academic institutions, state hospitals, and community mental health clinics—which has helped me develop a flexible, respectful, and collaborative approach to care.

Find the right psychiatrist for you

Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in Philadelphia
Finding psychiatrists in Philadelphia starts with knowing whether you want medication-focused care, therapy, or both. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions and prescribe medication. Therapists provide talk therapy and may work alongside a prescriber. If you’re looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or med management, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, credentials, and care approach before choosing who to book.
Philadelphia has many psychiatry options across neighborhoods like Center City, South Philly, University City, and Northeast Philadelphia, which can make it harder to narrow the search. Consider whether an office near transit or your routine matters, or whether virtual appointments fit your schedule better. Psychiatric appointments for medication management are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Reading bios can help you understand session structure, communication style, availability, and whether a free phone consultation is offered.
Psychiatric care in Philadelphia can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network coverage is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated cost before you book. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who match your needs, many of whom take your insurance and are accepting new patients, so you can review bios, compare options, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
