I'm a psychiatric nurse practitioner based in Massachusetts, and I've built my practice with a focus on making mental health care accessible. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and I bring a straightforward, caring approach to every session. I believe in taking things one step at a time, so you always feel comfortable with the process, and I stay open to whatever approach works best for you. I also work at a crisis center, which keeps me grounded in the realities of what people face when they need support most.
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, my goal is to treat the illness and not the symptoms. I specialize in working with adults experiencing depression and anxiety, and I focus on care that does not rely on medications that can be addicting or create dependence. For the past decade, I have helped clients feel more informed, more supported, and more hopeful about what healing can look like. I want our work together to feel thoughtful, personal, and grounded in what matters most to you, not just a list of symptoms or a quick fix. I work to understand the whole picture of your life so care feels meaningful, steady, and deeply your own.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Therapist in New Bedford
Finding psychiatrists in New Bedford starts with understanding the kind of mental health care you want to schedule. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose conditions and prescribe medication; therapists provide talk therapy and support. Some people look for psychiatric care for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management. As you compare options, look for a psychiatrist whose listed specialties, experience, and approach match the concerns you want to address.
New Bedford is a smaller city, so local psychiatry options may be more limited than in larger Massachusetts markets. Virtual appointments can expand your choices while still giving you access to licensed psychiatrists who can meet from a private place that works for you. Psychiatric medication management visits are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. Some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber, depending on their care plan. Before booking, review each profile for appointment availability, session format, specialties, and communication style.
Psychiatric care in New Bedford can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and understand what you may pay before your visit. Headway helps you search for psychiatrists who match your preferences, verify your insurance, and see estimated costs upfront. Every psychiatrist listed is accepting new patients, so you can review bios, compare available times, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
