Welcome! I’m a board-certified psychiatrist and a multi-platform Patient-Choice Award recipient. If you’re looking for a smaller practice to help with medication management +/- talk therapy, I may be the right fit for you.
Choosing the right provider is a big step, and I'm here to offer a unique blend of expertise and genuine support. I'm a dual board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), and a Certified Advanced Practice Addictions Nurse. What does this mean for you? It means I can offer truly integrated care, understanding how your physical and mental health are connected, and providing specialized support for addiction.
I believe quality mental health care starts with feeling heard and respected. I take a collaborative, patient-centered approach and work to understand the whole person, not just symptoms. My goal is to provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space while offering thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care tailored to each individual’s needs.
Hi, I’m Hannah, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a diverse background in critical care, trauma, and outpatient mental health. I’ve spent more than a decade working with individuals across the lifespan—from complex medical settings to telepsychiatry—helping people navigate mood disorders, anxiety, trauma-related symptoms, ADHD, and the stressors that come with major life transitions.
My clinical approach blends evidence-based medication management with supportive, collaborative care. I believe treatment works best when we tailor it to your unique goals, experiences, and strengths. Many of my clients are young parents, students, or adults balancing work, relationships, and emotional challenges, and I strive to create a space where you feel understood, empowered, and supported.
With over 12 years of experience in nursing and behavioral health, I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents, and adults ages 12 and older. My clinical interests include anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma-related conditions, stress-related concerns, and mood disorders.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Buffalo Grove, IL
Finding psychiatrists in Buffalo Grove starts with understanding the type of care you want to access. Psychiatrists and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage ongoing psychiatric care. Therapists provide talk therapy and may work alongside a prescriber when that fits your needs. If you are looking for support with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management in Buffalo Grove, review each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, training, and care approach before booking.
In a smaller community like Buffalo Grove, local psychiatry options may be more limited than in nearby larger markets. Virtual psychiatry can expand your search while keeping care accessible from home. Medication management appointments are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, so availability, appointment format, and scheduling flexibility can matter as much as location. Some psychiatrists also offer therapy, and some people work with both a therapist and a prescriber. Reading psychiatrist bios can help you compare communication style, session structure, and whether a free phone consultation is offered.
Psychiatric care in Buffalo Grove can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce out-of-pocket costs. Headway helps you find psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners who are accepting new patients and lets you check insurance details before you book. You can compare profiles, see estimated session costs upfront, and book directly when you are ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
