Meredith Brainard is a double Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with over 14 years of experience and providing care of patients and varied settings. Meredith has experience in working with all ages across the lifespan, including children, adolescence, adults, and geriatrics.

I’m a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who brings both learned and lived experience into the room. I’ve spent years in healthcare, particularly oncology, sitting with people through some of the hardest, messiest, most uncertain seasons of their lives. I also know that understanding mental health from a textbook and actually living through hard things are two very different kinds of education. I bring both. I’m what I like to call a two in one provider. I combine medication management and therapy because I don’t believe mental health care should stop at a prescription. Medication can absolutely be part of the answer, but so can your sleep, relationships, stress, trauma, physical health, environment, habits, and the life you’re actually living. I want the whole picture. And I keep it real. I’m warm, direct, honest, and yes, there will probably be humor. You don’t need the perfect words or a polished version of yourself with me. We figure out what’s actually going on, what isn’t working, and what makes sense for you. Because the goal isn’t just to feel “less bad.” It’s to help you feel more like yourself again.

She is a family and mental health nurse practitioner. Her patients are always her priority. She holds a master's and post-master's in family and psychiatric nursing. She is currently practicing at Evoke Wellness. Additionally, she is an adjunct clinical faculty at of Miami. She believes in safe and patient-centered care.

My goal is to help you overcome the challenges you are facing in a safe and comfortable environment to help you improve your quality of life. My passion is helping those with substance use disorders, including alcohol and opioid use disorder, safely detox from the substances and work towards a meaningful and long-lasting recovery. With a decade of experience serving a wide range of patients I am a dual-certified family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
