I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over 5 years of diverse nursing experience in critical care, acute care, neurology, telemetry, emergency care, and psychiatric and behavioral health care. My background is further strengthened by solid psychiatric training and experience caring for individuals with diverse mental health diagnoses across the lifespan. I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma-related concerns, and other mental health challenges. I am also currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at Arkansas State University. My goal is to create a welcoming space where you feel heard, respected, and supported.
I am able to evaluate and make diagnoses, and/or support existing diagnoses and work with you for a 'best-fit' solution to your needs. So many come from a past of being told they are 'X, Y, Z" and often misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed.
My goal is to help find a good treatment start point that resonates with you and provide evidence-based treatment to support your needs, goals, and desires to bring relief and remission, joy and hope.
All options on the table including progressive medication management, psychotherapy and counseling, or referrals for other modalities including deepTMS.

Find the right psychiatrist for you
Headway makes it easy to find support for your mental health — from finding the right provider, to understanding costs, to scheduling with ease.
Factors to Consider When Choosing a Psychiatrist in Anchorage, AK
Finding psychiatrists in Anchorage starts with understanding what psychiatric care includes. Psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners can diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, and manage medication as part of care. Therapists provide talk therapy and support, and many people consider therapy, psychiatry, or both depending on what they need. If you are looking for help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, or medication management, read each psychiatrist’s listed specialties, training, and approach before booking.
In Anchorage, your options may vary by neighborhood, schedule, and appointment format. Some people prefer an office near Midtown, Downtown, or South Anchorage, while others choose virtual appointments to make psychiatry fit more easily into their week. Medication management appointments are often shorter and less frequent than therapy sessions, and some psychiatrists also offer therapy. As you compare psychiatrists in Anchorage, look at appointment availability, whether a free phone consultation is offered, and what the bio says about communication style and care structure.
Psychiatric care in Anchorage can be a significant expense without insurance. Using in-network insurance is one of the most reliable ways to reduce session costs and see your estimated out-of-pocket cost before you book. Headway helps you find psychiatrists who are accepting new patients, match your preferences, and take your plan, so you can review bios, compare availability, and book directly when you’re ready.
If you're already taking psychiatric medication and considering switching providers, talk to your current prescriber before changing or stopping any medication — most psychiatric medications shouldn't be stopped abruptly. Anyone experiencing thoughts of self-harm or in acute crisis should call 988 or go to the nearest emergency department rather than wait for an outpatient appointment.
