Mental health care is deeply human work, but the system around it is often fragmented and operationally complex. Providers face significant administrative burden, while patients frequently struggle to navigate insurance coverage and find the right clinician.
Headway believes AI can improve that system by reducing the operational friction around care, so clinicians spend more time with patients and less time navigating complexity.
Today, we’re excited to share that the team behind Tezi, an AI-native company, is joining Headway on its mission to build a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access.
Why this team
Tezi is an AI-native company. Its team built systems that pair human judgment with AI agents inside genuinely complicated workflows, pulling out the tedious operational work so the people doing the job could spend their time where their expertise actually matters. We had been approaching the same problem from the health care side.
Who’s joining
The group spans engineering, design, and data science. Tezi cofounder Raghavendra Prabhu joins as Vice President of Engineering. He has built large, demanding systems at Google, Microsoft, Twitter, Pinterest, Thumbtack, and Covariant. At Headway, he’ll focus on AI-powered systems that hold up in production and take friction out of the care journey.

By pairing deep technical expertise with clinical oversight, we’ll continue strengthening the system around care so clinicians and patients can focus on the hard work of getting better.
