Hi, I’m Chris Brace (he/him), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and LGBTQ+ affirming couples therapist based in Las Vegas, NV. I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) — an evidence-based approach that helps partners break out of painful patterns, heal from disconnection, and reconnect in deeper, more secure ways.
I support couples and individuals navigating conflict, communication struggles, infidelity, emotional distance, premarital questions, and relationship ambivalence. My practice is especially attuned to the needs of queer, neurodiverse, and nontraditional relationships (including CNM and polyamorous partners). I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and judgment-free space where all identities and emotions are welcome.
For couples in crisis or those wanting to deepen their connection quickly, I also offer 2–3 day EFT Couples Intensives — an immersive, premium service outside of insurance designed to accelerate progress in just a weekend. I balance this with making weekly therapy available through Cigna and Aetna (via Headway), so couples can choose between a traditional path and a concentrated, cash-pay option.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), and I have advanced training in EFT. I’m also invited annually as a facilitator for national EFT trainings on LGBTQ+ inclusivity, where I help other clinicians build affirming skills.
If you’re ready to get unstuck and reconnect, I’d be honored to walk alongside you. You can book a free consult or schedule with your Cigna or Aetna insurance via Headway.
Every person experiences seasons of life that can feel overwhelming. Whether you're facing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, substance use, grief, or major life transitions, my goal is to provide a safe, collaborative, and evidence-based therapeutic experience where meaningful, lasting change can occur.
For nearly two decades, I have had the privilege of serving individuals, couples, and families throughout Nevada as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. In addition to direct clinical practice, I have served as a Clinical Director, executive leader, clinical supervisor, consultant, educator, and program developer, helping develop innovative behavioral healthcare programs and clinical services across Nevada. These diverse experiences have allowed me to work with individuals from virtually every walk of life while treating a broad range of complex behavioral health concerns.
My approach is individualized, practical, and grounded in research-supported treatment. I integrate evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy to develop treatment plans tailored to each client's unique strengths, needs, and goals.
I believe people are far more than the challenges that bring them to therapy. My commitment is to provide compassionate, clinically excellent care while helping clients build resilience, strengthen relationships, overcome obstacles, and create healthier, more meaningful lives.
"Before I became a therapist, I was a high school English teacher, a
college professor, and a yoga instructor. That path wasn't random
— each role taught me something different about how people
grow, get stuck, and find their way back to themselves. I bring all
of that into my practice now.
I work with adults across Nevada via telehealth who are wrestling
with anxiety, people-pleasing patterns, trauma, and self-worth.
Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside and
exhausted on the inside. They've tried pushing through. They've
read the books. They come to me when they're ready to actually
go somewhere different.
I'm also a Level II Reiki practitioner and E-RYT advanced yoga
teacher — which means I understand that healing isn't just
cognitive. The body is part of this too, and I take that seriously."

I'm a Black and Asian LCSW therapist with a background in crisis intervention and a genuine understanding of what it means to navigate identity, immigration, loss, and belonging. I work particularly well with clients from communities of color, immigrant families, and people who have tried to manage things on their own for too long.
