Hello! Thank you for taking the time to consider working with me. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have been in the Mental Health and Substance Use field for 21 years. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of issues. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, substance use, Men's issues, and relationship stress. I hope that we can connect and work towards removing your barriers and achieving your goals.
I work with clients who are ready to try something different — or who've tried talk therapy before and felt like something was still stuck.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, eating concerns, and emotional regulation. I'm trained in EMDR, which is particularly effective for trauma and PTSD — it helps process difficult memories in a way that doesn't require you to re-live every detail out loud. For clients who connect better through creativity than conversation, I also offer art therapy as part of our work together.
I work with adolescents and adults across Western Massachusetts via telehealth, with some of the most flexible scheduling in the area — mornings, evenings, and weekends available.
With several years of experience in the behavioral health field, I provide an eclectic, culturally-informed, empowering, person-centered therapeutic relationship. I have worked with people from all backgrounds to navigate significant life transitions such as starting careers, managing higher education stressors, dealing with toxic relationships and work environments, and addressing discrimination based on cultural, race, and gender identities.
I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Music Therapist (MT-BC), with over 20 years of formal music experience and 6 years of counseling experience, serving clients all over MA. I have worked with clients of all ages and diagnoses and specialize in treating adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse through a client-centered and trauma-informed lens.
I combine music therapy and counseling approaches, individually tailored, to help build resilience and make clients feel more in control of their own lives.
If you have ever held onto a secret out of fear, felt isolated in your pain, or put your own needs aside for the comfortability of others...please know you are not alone. Together, we can build on the strength within to create a life that doesn't need escape.
Hi! Thanks for checking out my profile! My name is Mike and I am glad you're here!
I received my masters degree in counseling from Fitchburg State University in 2017. After graduating, I started my career as a trauma-informed in home family therapist wherein I worked primarily with children, adolescents, and their caregivers teaching communication skills, coping strategies, addressing safety concerns, and working to improve stability in a home environment. Since 2022 I have worked as an outpatient counselor working with a range of clients from ages 6 to adult. I love working with a variety of clients, and focus especially on treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, and identity.
When a child has been through more than they should, or when a family is navigating trauma, foster care, or adoption, the right support changes everything. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families dealing with PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, and the weight of whatever life has handed them, including the complex emotions that come with foster care and adoption experiences.
With more than a 10 years in mental health, I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to walk beside you as a guide and support as you build on your strengths and work toward the future you envision.
I believe that people make sense. Even the parts of us that confuse us. Even the reactions we wish we could change. Even the ways we cope that may no longer be helping us—or may sometimes hurt us. There is usually a reason we learned to respond the way we do.
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and one of the things I value most about this work is helping people understand themselves with more compassion and less judgment. So often, we spend years believing that something is wrong with us because we feel too much, shut down, overthink, pull away, become overwhelmed, or struggle to feel safe and connected. I don’t see those experiences as evidence that you are broken. I see them as places worth becoming curious about.
