I’m a bilingual (English/Español) Licensed Mental Health Counselor who believes therapy shouldn’t feel like a sterile doctor’s appointment. My clients are hardworking adults, professionals, and cycle-breakers who are tired of white-knuckling their way through the week. They come to me dealing with anxiety, massive burnout, ADHD, Autism, and the heavy weight of life transitions. They stay because I skip the clinical robot-speak and get straight to "real talk."
I know what it’s like to juggle impossible schedules, which is exactly why I designed my practice to fit yours. I offer weekend and late-evening virtual sessions so you don’t have to burn your PTO or stress about missing work just to take care of your mental health.
My name is Wendy Hagen, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
I believe therapy should feel both comfortable and useful in your everyday life. We’ll talk about what’s happening, but we’ll also work on practical skills you can use between sessions. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, knowing you’ll be met with compassion, honesty, and without judgment.
There may be difficult conversations, moments when something finally clicks, and probably some humor along the way. I’ll listen, offer perspective, and gently challenge you when it may help. My goal is for you to leave with greater clarity, confidence, and tools you can actually use as you navigate life.
I do Individual, Couples, Family, and Group Therapy. I currently facilitate a Bereavement Group which meets at my Brookline office every Saturday from 2-4pm. I also run groups for substance abuse, depression and anxiety. In addition, I have a lot of experience counseling children of all ages. I am a firm believer in strength-based psychotherapy.
I hold an MSW from Boston University and have been in practice for 30 years. I have trained in CBT, Gestalt, Humanistic, Motivational Interviewing and Person-Centered Therapy.

I will help you navigate it in a way that is motivating and freeing. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut with six years of experience supporting individuals on their mental health journeys. I believe mental well-being touches every part of life, and I bring curiosity, warmth, and an open mind to each session. I look forward to supporting you on your path forward.
As a licensed therapist with over three decades of experience, I specialize in supporting individuals through life's complex challenges. My practice centers on helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, family dynamics, grief, and significant life transitions. “Only those who sow seeds of change can hope to grow and reap a harvest.”

If you’re looking for a safe, supportive space to work through substance use, mental health concerns, trauma, or a major life transition, I’m here to help. I’m a bilingual Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor I (LADC I) who supports adolescents, adults, and families in English and Spanish.
