Hi, I’m Tina Chen, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping clients feel their best. I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and I combine medication management with practical tools from CBT and positive psychology. With advanced training from California Baptist University and National University, I focus on creating a supportive, collaborative space where you can build confidence, resilience, and balance in your everyday life.
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, depressed, stuck, or worn down by stress, trauma, relationships, or health concerns, therapy can help you find a clearer path forward. I’m a licensed psychologist who works with adolescents and adults, with clinical and academic experience at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. I trained in medicine at Tehran University of Medical Sciences before earning my PhD in clinical psychology at the University of Houston. My style is warm, practical, and evidence-based, while always tailored to you as a person.
I work with clients who are ready to try something different — or who've tried talk therapy before and felt like something was still stuck.
I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, eating concerns, and emotional regulation. I'm trained in EMDR, which is particularly effective for trauma and PTSD — it helps process difficult memories in a way that doesn't require you to re-live every detail out loud. For clients who connect better through creativity than conversation, I also offer art therapy as part of our work together.
I work with adolescents and adults across Western Massachusetts via telehealth, with some of the most flexible scheduling in the area — mornings, evenings, and weekends available.
I am a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care in a supportive and judgement free environment. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, using collaborative care approach to personalized treatment plans that aligns with each client's goals. I believe that every person deserve to feel heard and empowered. My goal is to help you build resilience, improve your well-being, and achieve lasting, meaningful change.
You're the one people call when things fall apart. You're good at it — steady, competent, the person who knows what to do. And somewhere along the way you stopped having anywhere to put your own stuff.
So you can run the meeting, hold the crisis, answer the phone at 2 a.m. — and still not be able to make yourself open the mail. Competence and collapse live together far more often than anyone admits out loud.
I work with adults carrying that particular load: substance use and recovery, emotions that arrive at full volume with no dimmer switch, thoughts of self-harm or not wanting to be here, and the specific erosion that comes from caring for other people for a living. Helpers, clinicians, parents, first responders — people whose exhaustion doesn't have an obvious place to go. I work with teenagers too, often the ones in families like these.
My style is direct, warm, and collaborative. I'm not going to nod quietly for fifty minutes. We'll find what's actually driving things, build skills you can use on a Tuesday afternoon when it counts, and I'll tell you honestly what I'm seeing. You set the pace. I'll bring the structure.

Hi, I'm Dr. Olushola Bakare (she/her), and I'd love to work with you.
I know how exhausting it can feel to keep pushing through anxiety, depression, ADHD, or concerns around intimacy and sexuality — especially when you've already tried to "just push through it" and you're tired of being tired. If that's where you are, I want you to know there's a path forward, and I'd be honored to walk it with you.Regarding cancellations, please be advised that failing to cancel at least 24 hours in advance will result in an $80 fee. Furthermore, cancellations or rescheduling made within 3 hours of this 24-hour window (e.g., canceling or rescheduling at 11 AM for a 2:00 PM appointment the following day) provide insufficient time to offer the slot to other clients and may result in discharge from the practice. To ensure your appointment time remains available for others, I kindly request that you provide at least 36 hours' notice for any cancellations.
Follow-up appointments must be scheduled within seven days of the session. I do not communicate with clients while driving, and a cancellation fee will apply.

Rooted in my graduate training at the University of Rhode Island, I developed expertise in both general clinical and health psychology. I developed a programmatic line of research in health promotion (adoption and maintenance of multiple health behaviors including exercise, smoking cessation and nutritious eating) with a particular focus on exercise motivation as a gateway to adopting other health behaviors.
During my internship and postdoctoral training at VA Connecticut and VA Boston, respectively, my research evolved towards integrating health behavior change (e.g., exercise adoption and maintenance) with veterans suffering from chronic musculoskeletal pain and PTSD. As I learned more about the biopsychosocial model of these medically and psychiatrically complex disorders, my ultimate goal became to help veterans better manage their pain and PTSD symptoms, utilizing health behavior change as a complementary component of their overall treatment program. With this approach, the ultimate goal was to help them improve their overall quality of life and well-being, long-term.
My patient oriented research experience, over the past thirteen years, directly informed my approach to my clinical work with individual patients. In fact, I worked for Newton-Wellesley Eating Disorders and Behavioral Medicine for the past fifteen years. As part of this work, I focused on helping individuals suffering from the full continuum of eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa and Binge Eating Disorder) to sustain their recovery long-term and achieve "recovery maintenance" through establishment and achievement of additional life goals and to move beyond their "eating disorder" identity to a "whole person" identity to create a more meaningful life post-recovery. Additionally, as part of this practice, I treated patients suffering from anxiety, PTSD, chronic musculoskeletal pain and depression as well as veterans from the community.
