I work with children, adolescents, adults, and veterans from diverse backgrounds and provide comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy. My treatment areas include anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, PTSD, trauma, grief, stress, and relationship and family concerns, with an interest in women's mental health. Hello! My name is Janette Ruano. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Los Angeles County, California. I provide Telehealth services for children, adolescents, and adults throughout the state of California. I specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma.
Hi! Thanks so much for visiting. I am a board-certified psychiatrist who has been in practice since 2012, and before that I practiced internal medicine. I treat individuals age 10 and up in an adult setting. I went to Duke University for pre-med (BS psychology) and then Emory University School of Medicine. I did my internal medicine residency at Emory also, was on staff at Emory, and was also in private practice before I went back to my psychiatry residency (State University at Stony Brook, Chief Resident, 2012).
I bring the dual training and years of experience treating the breadth and depth of psychiatry. I enjoy helping those who have had treatment-resistant conditions, and have a friendly, kind, and collaborative approach.
I treat anyone and EVERYONE who is motivated to get better. I manage the entire spectrum of conditions, and manage tough-to-fix things like OCD and bipolar depression. Because of my personal and family background, I deeply understand the rainbow/gender-divergent and neuro-divergent folks, and folks with anxiety and ADHD. :). We can absolutely discuss gender-affirming care in California, and in Georgia and Florida, within the scope of local laws. I am a strong believer that trans care saves lives,
Please note:
-Self-pay rates are $460 for intakes and $230 for follow up appointments (half-hour).
-Starting 10/01/26, I am based primarily in the LA area (Weho and Westwood areas), but there are appointments that should be good for folks on both coasts.
-If you can't find a good time, message me and let me know.
-I will be in Atlanta and the SF Bay Area to see patients live once every 4-6 weeks or so. On-line is primary.
I have two locations in the Bay Area for live visits, and will have two in LA as above, and continue to see people in Buckhead, Atlanta.
-If a Florida client needs a controlled substance, one visit to the Atlanta or Cali offices will be necessary.

Hi, great to meet you! I’m Elizabeth Casas-Valdovinos, a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides individual therapy to adults in English and Spanish. With more than five years of experience in inpatient and outpatient mental health settings, I understand that reaching out for support can feel difficult—and I’m committed to creating a welcoming, compassionate space where you can feel heard and understood.
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use concerns, stress, grief and loss, life transitions, and challenges with self-esteem. Together, we can explore what you’re going through, identify your strengths, and develop practical tools to help you move toward healing and meaningful change.
I earned my Master of Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino, and became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2025. Hi, I'm Jana Sackett, MSN, PMHNP-BC, an adult psychiatric nurse practitioner treating patients across California by video. I came to psychiatry after more than a decade in emergency nursing, where I learned how often a psychiatric presentation has a medical driver underneath it, so I look at the whole clinical picture, not the symptom in isolation.
I specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related symptoms, and major life stressors, and I'm particularly interested in how medication, supplementation, and daily structure interact — because for most people it is never only the prescription doing the work.
Your first evaluation is a full sixty minutes, you see me at every visit after it, and we track your progress with the same validated measures each time so we both know whether the plan is working.
As an African American social worker educated in Alabama, I bring both cultural awareness and a deeply grounded, compassionate approach to my practice. My goal is to create a safe, affirming space where clients can explore their experiences, build resilience, and move toward meaningful change.
My style is collaborative, empathetic, and empowering—I believe in meeting clients where they are while helping them identify their strengths and develop practical tools for growth. I draw on evidence-based practices through a trauma-informed and person-centered lens, supporting clients in navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity, and recovery.
Having trained and practiced in diverse communities, I understand the importance of cultural context, lived experience, and social environment in shaping one’s well-being. Whether you’re seeking support for personal growth, healing from trauma, or strengthening coping strategies, I’m here to walk alongside you in the process of building a more balanced and fulfilling life.
