Great to meet you! Taking the first step toward caring for your mental health can feel overwhelming, so I'm glad you're here. I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 1 years of experience helping adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and other mental health concerns. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized, and I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, supported, and empowered to reach your goals.
Welcome! I'm Geneva, and I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely supported, understood, and accepted. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and attachment theory to help clients better understand themselves, strengthen their relationships, and develop practical skills for everyday life.
I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply ready for change, my goal is to help you build confidence, discover your strengths, and create meaningful progress at a pace that feels right for you.
Hi, I'm glad you're here. Starting or coming back to therapy can feel like the right step and still feel difficult. Life is full of both/ands: "I am struggling and I will be okay," "I have a great job and I'm still feeling depressed." I am here to support you through the dualities of life and help you carry and navigate both. My approach is warm, friendly, gentle, and at times directive. I won't ever tell you what decision to make, but I will support you in figuring out what makes sense for you.
I've been honored to work with people of all ages who face challenges with trauma, relationship problems, and mood problems, among other challenges.
I'm Josiah — a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) practicing via telehealth across California. My work centers on three communities I care deeply about: veterans navigating the often-invisible work of coming home, LGBTQ+ individuals and couples looking for a therapist who genuinely gets it, and parents who are doing their best while carrying more than they show. I'm Transgender Allied, trained in trauma-informed and multicultural frameworks, and I work with individuals, couples, and families. Before anything else, I work hard to make sure you feel like yourself in the session — not a diagnosis, not a file.
One of the things I have learned as a psychologist is that people usually make more sense than they think they do. The ways we worry, avoid, overthink, stay busy, struggle to sleep, or carry the weight of painful experiences often developed for understandable reasons. Together, we will slow down enough to understand those patterns—not to excuse them, but to help you move beyond them with greater clarity, flexibility, and self-compassion.
As someone who immigrated to the United States, I understand that change often asks us to redefine parts of ourselves while discovering strengths we did not know we had. That experience has deepened my appreciation for resilience, identity, and the many ways people grow throughout their lives.
I am a licensed psychologist with advanced fellowship training in Behavioral Sleep Medicine at Stanford University. I work with adults experiencing concerns such as anxiety, insomnia, trauma-related difficulties, chronic pain, and life transitions, and I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
As your counselor I will meet you where you are, offering empathy and non-judgmental environment so you can feel comfortable and well cared for. I have been working in private practice for a few years and before that I worked in non-profits with a variety of individuals and groups. I am the parent of two adult sons and have three grandchildren that I thoroughly enjoy spending time with. I have an educational background in the study of philosophy, spirituality and counseling psychology. I have experience with helping people with histories of trauma, severe mental illness, as well as, symptoms of anxiety and depression. I also have experience and some expertise with clients struggling with substance use.
Whatever's brought you here — depression that's hard to shake, anxiety that won't quiet down, the weight of past trauma, the ups and downs of bipolar disorder, or strain in your closest relationships — you don't have to navigate it alone. I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 28 years of experience, and I've spent that time helping individuals, couples, and families find their way through life's hardest stretches.
My specialties include depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and trauma, along with deep experience in relationships, family dynamics, child development, and parenting. After nearly three decades in this work, very little feels too big or too complicated to bring into the room — and I'll meet you with both warmth and the honesty that real change requires.
