Anxiety, Depression, and Family Issues

Great to meet you!

I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) therapist with years of experience in culturally-diverse and multidisciplinary environments. My experience includes working with various mental health issues, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, family conflict, domestic violence, emotional disturbances, immigration trauma, and acculturation struggles. I have worked with different populations: children in schools, adolescents, adults, adults on parole/probation, and immigrant families.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is most beneficial when it is curated to each individual client. I utilize an integrative and client-centered approach. I think it's important to get to know the client and what their needs are in order to develop measurable and attainable treatment goals. The relationship between a client and therapist is a partnership and I want my clients to feel empowered to implement the changes they want to see.

What you can expect from our first session

I find it important that the client feels heard and understood in their sessions. The sessions can be structured or free flowing depending on the needs of the client. I want the client to be able to confidently and seamlessly implement the skills and techniques discussed in therapy into their day-to-day life. I want to help my clients navigate their interpersonal conflicts and empower them to implement boundaries in order to reduce their symptomatology and improve their quality of life.
