What we're doing

  • Video sessions

All our therapists and psychiatrists are offering sessions over FaceTime, Skype or other platforms.

  • Covered by insurance

If you have Aetna, United, Oxford, Oscar, or Cigna insurance, video sessions are covered at your in-network rates.

  • Easy transition

If you’d like to, you’ll be able to transition to in-person sessions with your therapist or psychiatrist when guidelines allow.

Frequently asked questions

Each provider chooses their own platform for video sessions — it’s not held on the Headway site. Your therapist will reach out to you ahead of your appointment with the link or instructions to dial in.
Find a quiet place to conduct the session. If you’re using a laptop, we recommend pausing notifications so you can focus. It also helps to place your computer on a table or other stable surface, rather than your lap.
Yes! Headway makes it possible for therapists to see you virtually on your plan. All insurance plans we work with include virtual sessions, so you’ll be covered the same way as in-person.
