Great to meet you!

My name is Dr. Susie King and I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in California. I provide online psychotherapy (telehealth) to adults living anywhere within the state. I have a wide range of experience and competency to treat many different issues. However, my main focus is on helping women who are recovering from emotional abuse, narcissistic relationships, addiction and alcoholism.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm and genuine. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and Psychodynamic techniques. CBT helps identify and challenge negative thought patterns or behaviors that contribute to your difficulties. MI focuses on exploring and resolving any ambivalence or uncertainty you may have about making changes in your life. Psychodynamic therapy examines unconscious processes and childhood experiences that may contribute to current issues.

What you can expect from our first session

Our work together will help you overcome self-defeating thoughts and behavior, heal from emotional wounds, work towards goals aligned with your values, set healthy boundaries in relationships, and build a meaningful life.
