Great to meet you!

I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field working in various settings including inpatient hospitals, residential, outpatient day program and private practice settings. Over the course of my career I have developed a focus in working with individuals who have been impacted by traumatic experiences in their lives. My training and focus over the years has been to help clients move forward from the worst experiences of their lives and learn to work through their pain.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My vision and goal for each client is to see you grow and move forward in life. This might mean that therapy is not just "feel good" and will challenge you. I want to work together with you to find the "stuck places" in life and help you untangle the mess that's keeping you stuck. I utilize a trauma informed approach to help you reach your own individual goals for life. I am also flexible and can go at the pace that you need to go at. I also use a faith based approach in care when requested.

What you can expect from our first session

I love to utilize proven approaches for your specific issues. I have been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which is utilized for severe emotional dysregulation issues. I also have training in Cognitive Processing Therapy which is an approach to treat and target PTSD symptoms. Overall I believe in a compassion-focused approach and bring this to every interaction and client I meet.
