Great to meet you!

Hi, my name is Stephanie! I'm a Latina therapist (LPC) based out of Austin, Texas. I'm originally from Miami, Florida and I am of Cuban and Mexican descent. I received my Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida in 2020.

My areas of interest and experience are in depression, anxiety, adjustment, life changes, grief/bereavement, communication in relationships, self-esteem/confidence, and minority related issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

Therapy with me is an empowering journey where judgment has no place, and evidence guides our path. Together, we explore your strengths, utilizing them as tools to navigate and conquer the challenges you face.

My approach combines various modalities and techniques, weaving together talk therapy, Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), and Mindfulness-based practices.

What you can expect from our first session

Clients can expect me to be kind, inquisitive, and engaged in our sessions together. My goals in the very beginning are to foster a therapeutic relationship based on mutual respect and trust. Then, I seek to understand what my client's goals and desired outcomes are for their time in therapy. Last but not least, clients can expect to leave each session having learned something about themselves and their perspective having been challenged!
