Great to meet you!

My name is Sonya and I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I have worked with adolescents, adults, and the elderly through various life challenges including anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, and ADHD. I have served in the nursing field for over 30 years.

A bit about my approach to therapy

A first-time client has the opportunity to discuss symptoms and how they are affecting their daily life. I believe in joint decision making and together we find the best options for treatment whether that includes therapy and/or medication treatment to support your overall quality of life. The goal is to empower you to take charge of your mental health and help you thrive.

What you can expect from our first session

We all encounter difficult seasons in life and part of creating your best life is prioritizing yourself and taking care of your mental health. Sessions are an opportunity to sit and breathe and evaluate what is working and what is not. Patients tell me they feel so much lighter after their initial session because they have the opportunity to glean direction and perspective to move forward. This is an opportunity to change yourself so you can positively impact the world around you.
