Great to meet you!

I am collaborative, strengths-based, and client-centered. My overarching goal as a therapist is to put myself out of a job - I want my clients to learn skills, improve their functioning, and reach their own goals so that they feel comfortable graduating from therapy. I help my clients identify their existing strengths and develop their skills to cope with life’s challenges in order to grow into the people they want to be.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a therapist, I use compassion, consistency, and curiosity to help my clients increase their self-acceptance while working to make the changes they want in their lives. Using a blend of harm-reduction, CBT, DBT, narrative, and feminist therapies, I work with clients to unpack how trauma, internalized oppression, and family dynamics can interfere with their functioning while increasing their confidence in their skills and sense of self.

What you can expect from our first session

Overall, I strive to help my clients increase their self-awareness and self-compassion so that they can feel a greater sense of control and empowerment in their lives. Our initial sessions will be a blend of gathering information about your past, addressing present-day concerns, and getting to know each other. As we continue to work together, we will co-create individualized goals to reduce distress that are specific, meaningful, and achievable.
