Great to meet you!

Being born and raised in Philadelphia, and first generation to Vietnamese immigrants, has strongly influenced my work as a therapist for the past 11 years within inpatient, outpatient, and correctional settings. Many people I work with are struggling to balance personal wants and expectations of their families, experiencing internal conflict due to living in dual cultures, coping with trauma from substance abuse, racism, or are generally exhausted from worry and sadness.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I provide therapy that is conversational with feedback, using humor, approaching with curiosity, and partnership, individualizing work to each person. The work we do together will consider all sociopolitical factors, community, beliefs, abilities, and all that is inherently important, and has impacted you, because who you are and what you need, reaches beyond your emotions.

What you can expect from our first session

Sometimes our thoughts can feel confusing, and overwhelming. In our sessions we can make sense of what feels complex, placing it into words and meaningful action. You are welcome to be the version of yourself you're most comfortable in session and bring any concerns you have. All feelings are valid and there are no bad people, in my spaces, just people with needs who are doing their best.
