Great to meet you!

Hi, I'm Sara! I’m a Licensed Independent Social Worker and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency counselor in the state of Ohio. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and my practice is trauma-informed and focused on honoring each person as an individual. I have experience working with a wide range of concerns including substance use disorders, trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic illness, relationships, and women's issues.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My background in communications is foundational to my clinical practice and I believe that healing happens within the context of relationships — with ourselves and others. Aligned with my beliefs about connection, my practice is strengths-based and attachment focused. I believe that as human beings, we are hardwired to heal and I want to provide you with a supportive, empowering space and effective tools to do just that!

What you can expect from our first session

My goal is to help you find what feels good for YOU. The therapeutic process is dynamic and we will evolve, grow, and shift as you do! I strongly believe in the connection between our minds and bodies and want you to feel like the truest, most centered version of yourself. In session, I focus on values, mindfulness, acceptance, healthy communication skills, and building self-compassion. I strive to create a peaceful, intentional space and will approach our work together with curiosity and care.
