Great to meet you!

I have always had an innate passion to treat not the disease, but rather to assist individuals in living up to their desired level of optimal functioning despite health or sociological barriers they face. Twelve years of nursing experience allowed me to treat and gain familiarity with people from all walks of life; I also had the opportunity to understand their barriers to functioning at their best.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach to providing care is rooted in resilience/ solution focused therapies. I meet you where you are and develop a treatment plan with you, so you can be comfortable and invested as we move forward together to reduce your symptoms and improve your functioning. I use medication management to lessen symptoms and improve your ability to process thoughts and emotions that may resurface once you start treatment. I provide recommendations for alternative therapies that help for your symptoms.

What you can expect from our first session

The fact that I have lived in various places contributes to my ability to understand various cultural nuances that impact care of diverse people. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, traveling and eating foods from different cultures. After a session with me, you can expect to feel heard and to be educated about your diagnosis and options available to treat you.
