Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (MD Lic. #LC8596; NC Lic. #LCMHC19514), I provide individual therapy for adults and adolescents. I have a Master of Arts in General Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from James Madison University, I have experience in community mental health, hospital, and college mental health settings as well, working with clients with severe mental illnesses to mild adjustment disorders, providing psychoeducation, individual, and group therapies.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is integrative, including approaches such as client-centered (Rogerian), motivational interviewing, CBT, EMDR and mindfulness. I believe in a holistic approach to treatment, which addresses your entire person—body and mind, and that your mental health is inextricably linked to your physical health.

What you can expect from our first session

I provide services for clients who I believe have the capacity to resolve their own problems with my assistance. I offer a professional relationship with my clients to assist them in exploring and resolving difficult issues. I believe that as people become more accepting of themselves, they are more capable of finding happiness and contentment in their lives. I offer a caring, empathic space to explore, heal and to try new ways of being.
