Specializes in

Relationship Issues

Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience helping adults, couples and adolescents to live more fulfilling lives. I have extensive experience supporting individuals coping with chronic and acute illnesses from my training at Mount Sinai Medical Center and The Multiple Sclerosis Society. I obtained a masters in social work from Fordham University and received post-graduated training at Psychoanalytic Association of New York NYU Department of Psychiatry.

A bit about my approach to therapy

My approach is warm and informal. I am trained in psychodynamic talk therapy and apply elements of cognitive-behavioral and interpersonal therapeutic techniques when working with clients. I have extensive experience helping individuals and families live more successfully with chronic illness. I also specialize in relationship and family conflicts, anxiety, depression, bereavement, conflicts related to substance abuse and challenges of life stages.

What you can expect from our first session

I understand that reaching out for help can be overwhelming. My initial goal is to help you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process. I will guide you with learning about your strengths and abilities and discover new alternatives and choices to behaviors that aren't helpful. I actively listen with compassion and respond with empathy, respect and without judgement. I will assess your individual treatment needs and develop a treatment plan that we will address and revisit ongoingly.
